when he and Yahoo Sports came out with their reports a few years ago. They are right now. Do we all realize how close USC came to being the laughing stock of college football and falling to a second level program? If they had kept Goofy Garrett as the AD, Kiffin would have continued in leading them down the path of ultimate destruction. With Haden in place, things will be done with dignity and respect for the game. Kiffin won't last three years.
Now if the NCAA could only get a handle on the psychosis known as the SEC, the playing field would be much fairer all around.

Wow! What a powerful analysis of the USC debalce. Pat Haden is the man and a perfect fit to correct the culture there. But it's going to get worse before it gets better. It won't be immediate, but in 3 to 4 years, the upperclasses will be so small, it will be difficult to compete. I'm anticipating at the minimum, a 6-7 year timetable for USC to get back...perhaps as long as a decade. Time to start our own winning streak over the Trojans!

So what were sitting here glad that usc lost everything, and thats great, however i would rather be celebrating a actual victory instead of a moral one

If SC wins big the next two years these two classes could be good enough to see them through on talent alone without the numbers... if that happens I don't expect SC to compete at the highest level but I don't expect them to become flat uncompetitive either...

I don't expect them to be uncompetitive either, but I don't see any Pac 10 titles. Somewhere in the realm of 7-5. Hopefully worse.

Unfortunatly I still think SC going to be very good the next couple of years...with their talent AND if they play with a chip on their shoulders-- watch out. Haden will clean up that program...Kiffy is not feeling to good right now.! lol
