Cut him some slack. It's a long time between now and NSD. I'm not real sure why you would call someone out on your second post. This kid may develop interest and we may offer.

Who knows when X-Mas will come early in SB.

He's actually right though. We'd all like to see the relevance here. Usually when a recruit's thread is started by someone, there is a follow up post stating why there is interest from either side. Otherwise we'd start 600 posts about all the recruits out there...

Who says there is no interest and how many players in the past ND offer that weren't interested? Judging by having offers to Duke and BC means he has the academics. He's 6'3 ILB he's a great fit for the 3-4 scheme. Louis Nix was verbal to Miami and never knew a thing about ND, it took Alford recruiting him hard and guidance counselors to strike interest to Nix. It's early in the process of recruiting and if his tape crosses Brain Kelly desk you don't think they wouldn't extend an offer. How deep are we at LB Mr. AllKnowitAll.

I agree that there is no point for the listing if there's been no contact or hint of interest from either party.

Settle down.

"Who says there is no interest?" Well, all 3 major recruiting services, with guys who have a lot more inside access than any of us here, say at this point there is no interest.

It's fine to start new threads about recruits, but normally there will be a follow-up post giving more info. EX: He's camping at ND, ND coaches went to visit him, he's a legacy, he got an offer, he's coming to ND on an unofficial visit, he's in contact with ND coaches, he's expressed interest in ND, etc etc. You gave us nothing, and then you get offended when people ask for the relevance.

All I'm saying is, if you were to list every player that has an offer from an academic school, the site would get clogged and we'd be on information overload (even more than we are now). That's all we're saying...

Intelligent question, reasonably phrased.

Reps!

(Now that's hot.)

Now, are you going to correct him him for not placing a question mark after after an interrogative phrase?

Who says? You did with that response.

NDphilly acknowledged Grant's talent in the first two words he wrote. You dodged the question why open a new thread for a recruit that ND doesn't seem to have any interest in and neither does he.

I've checked the recruiting services. I can't find anyone linking a connection with Grant and ND. Can't find any articles or mention of him and ND on their sites. ISD and BGI don't have in their Prospect List. Rivals, Scout, and ESPN don't list ND in his profile. I googled Grant ND and got this thread as the #1 and #2 hits.

As for the rest of your response Duke is probably the pride of the ACC academically and BC is probably near the to but neither means acceptance by ND Admissions. To the contrary is seems whenever BC is known derogatorily as "Backup College" for those who couldn't get into ND. It seems almost every time BC beats ND there is somebody on their team that has a career day and that kid couldn't get past ND Admissions. I think Coughlin used ND Admissions as a lockerroom motivator before a big upset.

As for Louis Nix he verballed very early to Miami back in '08. He became aware of ND and the relationship developed to him coming to camp at ND for 4 days last summer. Jason h547 opened a thread when that news broke and he posted the rationale for starting a new thread:

Says he loves Notre Dame and if he doesnt go to Miami he will be Irish. Plants to be at camp. Will flyout Sunday and stay for the camp. Florida St and Florida are also players.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

We appreciate the help in putting together profiles and as NDinL.A. noted we don't do them for everybody or even for every 4 or 5 star recruit. It takes a lot of work to keep them all updated. Some people have asked if we could delete those profiles that no longer have current interest in ND or vice versa to minimize the clutter. We don't delete them as recruits like Seantrel Henderson become active threads down the road. We started adding (NMI) No Mutual Interest, to the thread title to show those where there in no longer (or was never) interest.

This thread is being marked (NMI). I'll be happy to change it when somebody posts an article that Kelly has offered, or Grant's coach has sent ND a tape, or Grant who is currently touring colleges in the Southeast heads north to see South Bend. If you have
a cite for an article on Grant and ND share it. If you have "inside" information say so.

The "Mr. AllKnowitAll" (sic) was uncalled for. NDphilly asked a simple, reasonable question that would not have been necessary to ask had any expression of ND interest been provided.

LOL! IrishEnvy making and breaking news!!!

I must have typed my original response at the same time you did, but, as is custom, you said it much more eloquently. Well done...

Just now getting the NMI... intially thought it was a weird college i had never heard of... then realized it meant no more interest...

Virginia hasnt been the best hotbed for ND anyways... Think Deion Walker is the only one on the team from there right now, or was he from Maryland..

For me, "NMI" stood for "No Middle Initial." I have no middle name so many official documents throughout the course of my life, including my Driver's License, had me as R****** NMI Shan****. More than once I was asked by store clerks, when they were checking my ID when I was paying by check, asked "What kinda name is NMI?"

Acronyms without context can be a bitch ... or fun to play with.

Updated the Ranking, still see no interest by either party.
