2010 BCS Bowl Game Predictions

We already have our predictions for the Irish's season, so what are your predictions for the upcoming BCS Bowl Games?

Here's Mine:

BCS National Championship
Ohio State vs. Alabama

Rose Bowl
Wisconsin vs. Oregon

Sugar Bowl
Texas vs. Boise State

Orange Bowl
West Virginia vs. Virginia Tech

Fiesta Bowl
Oklahoma vs. Notre Dame

Those aren't bad predictions! However, I do believe that Florida will make it into a bowl. I don't think Oregon will be the best team in the PAC-10. And I actually think GT will win the ACC.

the florida thing is probably right but gt lost alot last year. dwyer and the wr name thomas on o. and on d i think they lost 3 or 4 good players.

The OU/ND thing would divide my family... the wife is a Sooner Alum... but it would bring out the truth behind how close Stoops came to being our coach and what actually led to the breakdown in talks...

I don't see Bama playing for the title again... they aren't as good this year, expecially on defense... someone they shouldn't lose to will beat them in the reg. season... and they may not win the SEC... We shall see about tOSU also... I really feel this may be the year we get a cinderella title game, meaning someone from outside the BCS...

I can still see Bama making it back, but it'll be harder to get their.

idk about Washington but anything is possible... Pac 10 should be a wild ride this year...

if so yeah, pull a random Pac 10 team out of a hat and throw that team in the Rose Bowl... I honsetly think a decent case could be made for every single team in the conference except maybe Washington State right now... and when talking about SECOND PLACE... idk if you can say it's impossible for St. to get hot in conference...

I said this about Florida all summer long last year when they were getting played as the "greatest team ever" and often got hammered for it... the easy money pick to win the title almost ALWAYS fails to do so... in the last decade of cfb... the preseason favorite has won the NC once (SC 04, and even THAT title is no longer legit)...

Considering Bama's Defensive loses and the fact that without said D they wouldn't have even played in the SEC title last year imo... I'd say they are probably the easy money bet of the decade (besides Georgia two years ago) to not uphold their preseason number 1 and win the title...

the only thing that makes me think otherwise is their schedule... Florida at home, LSU on the road and the SEC title game... only three games that a Champion should even have the option of losing... and consider the fact that they may make it in the BCS title game with a loss... eh... not saying they aren't good... but I don't expect them to win it all... in betting terms, I'll take the field in a heartbeat.

Don't quote me on this because I do not have confirmation, but I seem to remember reading that if the winner of the Pac-10 goes to the Title Game or cannot play in the Rose Bowl for some other reason, the Rose Bowl committee has the option of selecting an at large team to fill the slot. They are not locked in to second place teams to fill vacant spots in the Rose Bowl. They have the option of selecting the team that will fill seats and sell the game on TV the best. I could be wrong, but that is what I recall.

For the title game that is true... and that's why I asked... that's how Texas played in the Rose bowl and beat Michigan the year SC won the title game... BUT idk if it's the same for this scenerio

I think Bama will have one loss, but will still get into the National Championship.

I think Washington is one of the sleeper teams in 2010. They may have a shot to make a run at the Pac-10 title this year, and their Quarterback is stellar. I almost put them in the Rose Bowl, but decided Oregon still has enough talent to win the Pac-10 even without Masoli.

I think Florida loses to Bama, and Florida State, which leaves them out of the BCS.
