Hogan is the nephew of former ND QB/TB Coley O'Brien.

Coley, a diabetic, came off the bench in the first quarter in the 1966 Game of the Century against MSU after Bubba Smith knocked ND starting QB Terry Hanratty out of the game. The next week he lead ND to a 51-0 whipping of #10 Southern Cal to win the '66 National Championship.

Ron Powlus was recruiting him last November.

Attended ND's 3/20 Jr Day but did not pick up an offer.

I think they are afraid of offering because he would accept on the spot. That would not be an issue if they were taking multiple QBs but I think the goal is to take only 1. If they strike out with the 4 offered, he will be next.

Hogan's been getting noticed at QB camps and making visits to East Coast colleges, RU, UMD, UVA. Will ND run out of time?

To answer your question, yes. He just verballed to Stanford.

Josh Barr 's Recruiting Insider - Stanford nabs Gonzaga QB Hogan

Stanford has a couple studs in the pipeline, so he's obviously not afraid of competition. And the good news for ND fans who wanted Hogan, with his pledge to Stanford, he just became a lot closer to becoming a ND commit
