"I did my thing," Knight said. "I feel really confident. We sat down with coach Alford after, the one-day campers were in there, he asked me to stay a little bit later so I spent some extra time with him. We just did what receivers do, just worked on some things. You can never be perfect." ...
At this point the Irish have offered 13 pure wide receivers along with hybrid pass catchers like Massachusetts wide receiver/tight end Richard Rodgers and California running back/wide receiver George Atkinson III.
Of those, nine remain uncommitted but only a couple, most notably four-star prospect Davaris Daniels, appear to be taking a long look at Notre Dame. That could mean good news for Knight down the road if he's willing to wait.
"He said the defensive coordinator loved me and they want to offer," Hounshell said. "He said I should have an offer at the end of the month. They have to check some other things out because they already have two D-end commitments."
Haha... I got you Terry. It sounds like there is a very good chance Chase will get an offer, and it sounds like we may have a great shot at landing him. Although he is not ranked unbelievably high by Scout and Rivals (and doesn't have an ESPN profile), he has 20 or so offers, some from larger schools. He also sounds like he is a kid who will legitimately make some noise next year, as it sounds like he has worked his butt off.
Kevin Knight could very well get an offer, but I think it may be later. Hopefully he doesn't, because that means we may have a better shot with Davaris.
Flavin is still unknown. It sounds like the coaches are meeting to discuss all three.
... Whoever changed this thread name - well played.
