Sounds slightly familiar, doesn't it?

If you read the article on Crist posted elsewhere on the forum, apparently he is rehabilitating very well and looks better than he has ever looked before, according to Goodman.

Good to hear. This builds chemistry between quarterback and receivers, especially with a projected starter like Duval Kamara.

“We should have been a BCS (bowl) team last year,” Goodman said. “We're definitely a national championship-type team if everyone does what they're supposed to and continues to buy into what the coaches are teaching us. It's as simple as that.”

F-ing right. I like that attitude.

Goodman is an interesting player. I still think he and Kamara will be possession receivers who will cede playing time to Floyd, Evans, Walker and Jones.

I can't possibly see Walker getting more playing time than Kamara. Duval has WAY more experiences and is one heck of a blocker..

I'd love to see Walker reach his potential, but I think Duval is more prepared to play a crucial role this season.

Not sure he was suggesting that. But I'd prefer Walker over Goodman as the rotation guy. He's got a little more speed.

I agree that Walker should be ahead of Goodman, but he was saying that he thinks Duval is more of a possession receiver, and I don't see that at all.

I think Duval is the type of receiver that should be on the field at least 3/4 of the game, because he is so big and physical he can almost be considered a TE with great speed. Duval is multi-talented and do more than just catch.

I think the 4 main WRs should be Floyd, Evans, Jones, and Kamara... That gives the WRs a nice balance of size and speed...

Floyd, Evans, Jones, and Walker is just a little too much speed with not enough strength and physicality.

I like Kamara's blocking and experience. Beyond that...I just don't think he's that dynamic. I like his physicality, but I'm not sure how well he fits in with the new system.

However, since Kelly has him as a starter right now I think he will contribute effectively.

I just think that when it comes down to it, speed kills. And with Floyd potentially leaving after 2010 the coaching staff has to develop Evans and Walker into legitimate college threats.

Kamara will probably play a lot because he will be a key blocker on screens, but if I had to guess the pecking order for receptions I'd say it looks like this:

Rudolph
Floyd
Evans
Jones
Riddick
Allen
Wood
Kamara
Walker
Goodman
Gray
Toma
Gallup

There were times last year where Kamara actually looked very good (see USC game) in terms of getting open consistently, making the grabs when needed, and fighting for the extra yardage to get the first down.

He is by no means a dominant receiver, but he can prove to be a reliable second option if he can get open when the bigger threats (Floyd, Rudolph) are covered.

I like the Floyd/Evans/Jones/Kamara lineup. Although we aren't going to be throwing the fade every time we hit the red zone, it's good to have size when you're down there.

I agree 100% with everything you just said...

And I do believe Floyd, Evans, Jones, and Kamara are the best 4 man rotation...

Man I'm pumped for September 4th!
