yeah I always love ND on saturdays... but for the first time in my life I am not looking foward to september... I honestly am finding it hard to find unbiased reason to expect more than one win in september... My honest thoughts as of now is a third straight 6-6 season... we shall see.

Boo-hiss. No .500 season talk until we've lost 4 games. Hope springs eternal.
Staying healthy, we can outscore just about everyone except USC and Stanford's line really pushed us around ala Toby (adios). The ones that hang in the ballance are Boston College (think we smack them in the mouth this year) and Pitt or Michigan State (think we split the two as we're usually snake bitt by one of them which leaves us 9-3 or 10-2. Don't like Navy but I don't think BK will let us lose to them, I really don't. I'll hope for 10 as we're due for a break. Longo's Legion will still be fit and tough in the 4th which will be our Achillie's heel NO MORE.

I'm way too excited for this season.
I think for the first time in a long time,and easily the first time in my lifetime as a fan, we'll have a coach win 9-10 wins in his first season,and keep the momentum......

Didn't Charlie win 9 his first season? Either way I am not expecting a bcs bowl this year. What icam expecting is a high potent offense and a defense that won't be sucking wind in rhe third quarter. Discipline and hard nosed guys are what is innards make r break thi year for defense
Lou's first season was a loser, five and six (because we got screwed by Mich, at home no less. I was sitting in the North end zone and had a great look at Jacobs catch: he was in Where is instant play when you need it?!) but it was clear from the first play that we had a great team and a great coach.
I am not so much interested in the w/l as I am in how they look and play the game. After watching Cincinnati several times last season, I have high hopes.
Finally, a college coach who knows what it takes IN COLLEGE to win.
I have had enough of pro gazing players and pro coaches.. If the only reason a kid comes to ND is because he thinks it is his best shot at becoming a pro, we don't need him. I want someone who wants ND to win and screw the pros; And the strange thing is that if we win a whole lot more of out guys will end up being pros.
Enough of being a farm club for the NFL.

if kelly can take what he had at cincy last year and get to a bcs, why cant he take what he has at ND (upgrades at all positions) and get there?
I am not predicting a bcs, i hate predicting anything anymore since i was always proven wrong in the last 3 years. but if i had to predict a season outcome it would probably be 8-4 with some really awesome wins and some really soulcrushing close losses

yeah I'm totally pumped about this season. I think you guys are underestimating Kelly and his training. I just can't wait for us to prove who we really are. Its gonna be awesome!!!
