Was watching college football live today and saw that kiper had Floyd and Rudolph listed in the top 5 recievers for this coming season. Just wanted to share and see what y'all thought about the possibility of losing them in the first round of next yearsdraft.

Clausen was a victim of circumstance. Other teams will be sorry they missed out on him, IE Vikings.

They are both gone, regardless of health status. I would love for them to stay, but it's not going to happen.

I think they both will have some serious thinking to do. They will most likely not see the millions of guaranteed money, and there may not even be a CBA yet, which would mean no '11 NFL season. Why bother going pro if you're not going to be able to play anywhere?

I think they'll stay. After what happened to Clausen/Tate I'd stay.

Tate went right around where h was projected. Clausen dropped alot farther than ithought he would. I think mcnabb goingto tge skins realll threw his draft off. I figured the skins may have tres to trade down and take him but oh well. Jimmy went to a perfect situation. Good running game and a good line. He can build there and ve the future for years to come. I think steve smith will really like being able to run under the deep balls that Jimmy can loft up to him. They should draft a reciever next year and help them both out but we will see. Floyd and Rudolph will be first round picks if they can stay healthy this year. Plain and simple. I'd love to keep them here for anithe year but first rounders are hard to keep around. If there is a lockout then they will stay or if they see us as a championship contender in 11 maybe they stay.

Totally agree with this. Plus if i remember correctly floyd's mom wants him to get his degree so why not play football while doing it instead of get drafted and basically sitting out a year.

Yeah, what happens with the cba will determine what happens with the draft eligible players. The 2012 draft could e just as deep as this years draft if all of the juniors stay in school. Hopefully my redskins will actually have some draft picks and be able to restock our thin areas. Woukd love to see Floyd go to the skins. Theyxreally need that number one reciever

That's great for us as fans KPenn, but what about the player? Football is a violent, violent game. He's already been seriously injured twice. WHat if he finally goes a full year healthy and people project him as a top 15 pick? If he's only a semester or 2 from graduating, would it really be prudent to leave millions of dollars on the table given his injury history?

Now, like you guys have said...the CBA changes everything, and it would be wiser to stay in school if you're going to have to (possibly) not play football for a year anyways. And I'm sure that's what you're talking about when you talk about him returning to school. But I'm just saying, I never begrudge a guy who's guaranteed to be a 1st or even 2nd rounder if he chooses to leave early. It's too violent of a game not to think about getting paid while you can still walk...

You can't give up the option to live your dream and get paid. In the first round you will sign a check that will set you up for life. I'm not gonna hate on someone for living their dream and getting paid. Best of luck to these guys and the team this year for it could be the beginning to something special personally and professionally

He will probably have to have a phenomenal year, to be projected as a top 15 pick, in the NFL. That's no knock on his abilities, and I'm betting that the debate before the draft, next year, will be NFL people saying, "He's a great talent, BUT..........he's only gone one season without a major injury........."
