"Average kickoff"??? That's worth a scholarship right there. Could you imagine that your opponent would have to start at the 20 virtually all the time on a kickoff??? Wow!

We have an excellent shot at him. He carries a 4.25 GPA and academics are priority with him. Couple that in with a shot to play early and on TV.

Having a kicker with that kind of leg strength is always a great recruit to get, I think that some on the thread do not want three scholarship kickers in the program. I would love this kid to be Irish...three scholarship kickers or not.

Don't get me wrong, this kid looks like a stud, but, I hate the fact that ND will have 3 scholly kickers on the team if he commits. Now saying that, he does look like the real deal and I would love to have him on board. We all know ND needs a good kicker.

The problem with ND is that the cost is so high that it is unlikely to get great walk-on kickers, as they usually go to State schools. The high cost of ND makes it almost a neccesity to have at least one scholarship kicker.

And as we know prospects often bust at the collegiate level and we have seen that from the Kicker position. However, as per the Weis policy we don't take away scholarships for poor on-field performances.

I have actually heard that this kid isn't into ND that much. Right next to him is a kid from Dallas, Texas, Nick Tausch. In my opinion he has a stronger and better leg, but isn't ND's first choice because of grades. Nick doesn't even use tees for his field goals, and is making 55-60 yarders.

May be why he has no offer. If he is that good, he'll get offers from the schools where grades really won't keep you out.

Far too often last year CW went for it on fourth and long when kicking a field goal was the obvious play. I thought it was because he had little or no confidence in the K. Decent drives turned over on downs rather than coming away with at least 3 points kills team morale and gives the opponent a boost. Missed PATs were also a problem.

and we all rember the navy game. sh-t happens and there is always gona be stuff we can't do anything about but if charlie woulda believed in one of his kickers things MIGHT have been different but we will never know
