Biggest leg in the country. His average kickoff landed 3 yards out of the back of the end zone.
This kid has a leg! (he has two actually)
He reportedlu kicked a 75-yd teed up field goal. He can kick 65 yards without a tee.
His longest in game was 48yards. He also made 37 out of 37 PATs last year.
Yeah, G & B, that is my main concern- what does he think about ND? He can be the greatest kicker in the country but if he either isn't interested in a ND education or playing here, then it doesn't matter much.
in the favorite uncommited propect thread i voted for this kid and i was basicly told we have bigger needs but i still say he is a must have for next year
Having a kicker with that kind of leg strength is always a great recruit to get, I think that some on the thread do not want three scholarship kickers in the program. I would love this kid to be Irish...three scholarship kickers or not.![]()
I have actually heard that this kid isn't into ND that much. Right next to him is a kid from Dallas, Texas, Nick Tausch. In my opinion he has a stronger and better leg, but isn't ND's first choice because of grades. Nick doesn't even use tees for his field goals, and is making 55-60 yarders.
Far too often last year CW went for it on fourth and long when kicking a field goal was the obvious play. I thought it was because he had little or no confidence in the K. Decent drives turned over on downs rather than coming away with at least 3 points kills team morale and gives the opponent a boost. Missed PATs were also a problem.

Hopkins is visiting today and rivals seems to hint that if all goes well he'll be on board!
