Would definitely love to see him share the field with Rudolph. Sounds like a really great red zone threat.

I can't imagine him actually beating out Rudy. Not because he doesn't have game but Rudy is just too awesome.

I tend to agree.... It's going to be a tough road for Mr. Ragone to bypass Rudy. Kids like Kyle just don't come along that often.

Just once, it'd be interesting to look for Ragone downfield. He has awesome speed for a TE.

He *had* great speed coming in. Let's see where he is now following his injury. When he was able to play last season, he looked tenitive at best.

There was some talk, last year, about Rudolph lining up as a slot guy, kind of. It would be interesting, to see if Kelly could find a way to get them both on the field, without using a traditional 2 TE set. Maybe line one of them up as an H back, on the same side as the other one, who would line up in the traditional TE spot? Would certainly give the running game some serious beef to follow, on that side of the field, as well as creating a coverage mismatch?

herecometheirish,
Where are you coming from with the comment Ragone "HAD" great speed?? The kid still has great speed for a TE. Did you watch him run down the guy who blocked the extra point at the WSU game last season? The dude can flat out fly for a TE. He has great wheels.

I believe that Ragone will have a very nice season this year for ND. Obviously, he is not going to beat out Rudolph. There is probably not a single TE in the country who would beat out Rudolph. He is absolutely a freak. The NFL scouts are drooling. Next season, I expect to see Ragone have a stellar 5th year. He will be the go to guy with experience and Rudolph will be catching passes in the NFL.

Good Luck Mike!!

Washington State. Blocked extra point. Ragone. Epic awesome.

He looked like he had some great speed at times last season.

Mikey's biggest problem is his crappy hands.

This gets me excited. Kyle would be a demon of a slot receiver, and with Ragone playing a more traditional blocking/receiving TE position...man that sounds deadly.

I'm getting really pumped.

Don't get too excited. If it were that easy, I'm sure it would have already been done. But it does present an intriguing philosophical topic.

When did Kyle Rudolph became known as Rudy? Is he aware of this? I hope he becomes aware of this and punches you in the face. Why do we always need to give someone a nickname.
