Yeah, I just looked at the tape. MAN! This kid really looks good. I'm no scout but his speed, his fluidness, and his quickness seem to be exceptional. I assume the talent he is playing against is decent as well - considering it is high school football in san antonio. Maybe it's not, but it looks to be pretty good competition.

I actually said 'wow' out loud the first time I watched Green's tape. He changes direction with ridiculous ease and doesn't seem to lose too much speed when doing so.

I have no idea how realistic our chances are with him. I haven't heard anything new lately so I'm guessing he might still be considered a Nebraska lean(that was the word after his brother committed to NU).

Hes not even considered a Texas lean, hes expected to go to Nebraska to play with his older brother.

Pelini offered his less talented older brother in order to get the lead over him.

Based on the youtube video, this guy is a beast, but why would he come here and play in the spread?

Because you need a speed RB in the spread offense who can catch out of the backfield and also has the lateral agility to find holes in the defense from handoffs out of the shotgun.

For the spread we need a versatile RB or we need a big bruising powerback that can pick up the short yardage.

Anyways, I think he goes to Nebraska which has an offense built around their running game.

The Traditional RB isn't what it once was and just look at the NFL as the RB position is becoming a committee job instead of having one man carry the load.

This is for many reasons; as it's becoming a more of a passing league, RB's don't last long as well as having different looks and options to keep thinking.

Per ESPN:

High four-star running back Aaron Green (San Antonio, Texas/Madison) revealed his current favorites for ESPN affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com.

"I've narrowed down the list to my top four schools. They are not my final four schools, just my top four right now. I like Nebraska, Cal, FSU, and Texas in no order. They are all recruiting me hard and I will probably take official visits to these four schools. I don't think I'll take all five official visits, but who knows."

He continued, "I don't know that much about (FSU) but they are showing me lots of love. Texas, they always win and have strong tradition. Nebraska, I really like the staff and I think they are an up and coming school. Cal I like the offense they run there.

"I ain't in any rush to make a commitment, so if any school pressures me it ain't gonna happen. I'm going to take at least three visits and then try to figure it out. I'm just looking for wherever I feel at home," Green concluded.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect, whose brother Andrew plays for Nebraska
, also has offers from Oklahoma, USC, Alabama, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Baylor, Texas Tech, Stanford, North Carolina and Missouri among others.

He's rushed for almost 3,300 yards and scored over 40 touchdowns during the last two seasons.

Apparently he committed to Nebraska recently. Nebraska got an absolute stud to go along with Martinez.

Aaron Green to transfer from NU - Omaha.com

By Jon Nyatawa
World-Herald Bureau
4/29/12

LINCOLN — Sophomore running back Aaron Green has been released from his scholarship and will transfer from Nebraska, his father told The World-Herald Sunday night.

...

“He wasn't happy,” Tony (father) said. “He didn't feel that he fit into the system. He wants to get closer to home.”

Nebraska coach Bo Pelini confirmed that Green has been given permission to look at other schools.

...

Baylor, Houston, TCU, Texas A&M and Texas Tech are among Aaron's early list of potential destinations, his father said. One of the nation's top recruits in 2010, Aaron was an honorable mention all-state performer as a senior at Class 5A James Madison High School.

...

Seems he was to be the #3 RB on the Depth Chart and didn't care for that.
