Guys,
There is no sense trying to figure out what went on behind the closed doors or what the penalty could be. Let's all just sit back and await the words from the NCAA.
BUT, here is something to consider as you sit there hoping every night that USC gets the SMU death penalty. First, USC is a $$ maker for the NCAA. They are one the THE national powers in a major BCS conference in one of the biggest cities in all of the US. USC brings in MAJOR TV ratings. So, in the end you have one of the biggest $$$ making programs in all of sports for the NCAA.
Do you really believe that the NCAA is going to sanction a cash cow with more than vacated wins of the past??? NO WAY!!! We should fully expect them to be asked to give up some wins in years past. That's it. USC and the NCAA will hug, kiss and make friendly so to keep the $$ flowing.
If you believe the NCAA is about anything more than the $$$$$$, then you need to be admitted to Celebrity Rehab with Dennis Rodman. $$$$ is the only real reason we have no college football playoff.
article in the new york times about the hearing, seems as though they feel usc will not be getting off easy.

You don't get it!! It'll go down in the record books as a never played game for USC, while, teams like ND who played them it's still consider a 1 in the lost column. I guess your satisfied with that, but I guess it's whatever makes you feel better infront of USC buddies..
