Currently only offer is BC per scout. Played his junior year in Germany for the national team Berlin Adler, and is returning to Salisbury School in CT for his senior year.

As a sophomore at salisbury school he registered 59 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, recovered 2 fumbles and had a safety. He only played in 8 games. Dont know how his grades are, hopefully good enough to get a ND offer soon.

Defensive tackle Bjoern Werner of Salisbury (Conn.) School originally was projected to be part of the 2011 class. But Werner, a 6-4, 265-pounder who originally is from Germany, has now reclassified as a player who can be recruited for the 2010 class. He already has offers from Boston College, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Missouri, Rutgers, UTEP and Tulsa, among others. He is scheduled to take an official visit to Cal for the Maryland game.

No mention of ND.

6 months but no contact makes it seem very unlikely though..... or maybe there is just no interest on his part. who knows, i hope the coaching staff at least looked into evaluating the kid.

It's not like ND isn't pursuing DTs. Will Hampton is beating on ND's door and apparently has the academic creditentials to gain admissions. Not everyone does.

I've seen no GPA or Test Score on Werner who's been schooled in Germany and Maryland. He appears to been back and forth between education systems a couple of times. Does he have the core courses ND requires? Does he have the core courses that the NCAA Clearinghouse requires? IF not can he get them completed in the next 12 months?

No just updating some of the ignored files. With his intercontinental travels he may well have problems with ND Admissions regardless of his GPA or Test score. Not an indictment of his capabilities, multiple schools can make for spotty transcripts. Hope it works out of him wherever he ends up.
