Florida secondary coach Vance Bedford will be Louisville’s defensive coordinator, Rivals.com has learned. Bedford worked with new Louisville head coach Charlie Strong at Florida, where Strong was defensive coordinator. Bedford also has been an assistant at Michigan, Oklahoma State, Colorado State and with the Chicago Bears. During his stint at Oklahoma State from 2005-06, Bedford was defensive coordinator.

All kidding aside - when the boot comes on - often the words: "Beat me... Hurt me... make me wanna write bad checks" are often heard.

Then again,, several times a day... the image of the album art from Zappa's "Weasels Ripped My Flesh" just pop into my mind's eye.... so take it for what it's worth.

If Ozzie.... er.... Urbey is going to be on LOA January 2, 2010... who hires the new DC and hires the new DB coach?

Wow, another coach gone at a time when they NEED continuity.

I'll disagree with one thing though BGIF, they didn't lose their head coach. He'll be back, and I;d imagine a lot sooner than people are saying. Dude is a maniacal competitor, and I just can't see him kicking it while others take over his program.

I tend to disagree....Urban Meyer is done. His LOA comment was to save recruiting. there must have been such a huge backlash with regards to recruiting that he had to have the turnaround knee-jerk comment about its only a leave of absence a day later. he did that to secure this years recruiting class, and to keep younger players from bolting to the likes of Alabama, LSU, or Miami or any other program.

he will linger around the program in a high profile position as much as possible, but if his medical condition is what is being reported, I seriously doubt he'll be back.

after hearing the 911 phone call, where dude was on the floor with chest pains and unresponsive; how can all of sudden change your mind overnight by the response of your players? if your life is truly in danger, and if you have high blood pressure and heart/chest issues your life is in danger, the response of your players is not going to change your mind or your body. did the response from his players make is BP go down? did his players response take away his chest pains? or did the players response take away from the cause of this issues?

Urban Liar is done, all of this LOA business is just that...Urban Liar trying to give everyone the business.

Had to one-up Cincy's motivation for winning without BK. Regardless of his health, it was a contrived story to get his team up for a 'meaningless' game. It worked.
