I probably just jinxed it with this thread but charlie has been reached through backchannels by the Buffalo Bills.

the hot coaching candidates have all said no up to this point.

South Bend Tribune: Notre Dame football: Sources link Weis to Buffalo post

i for one would love to see it, maybe he could draft jimmy or golden, or even trade for BQ!

i would get to see him come down to MIA once a year this would be awesome.

I selfishly want Charlie to be the Chiefs O.C. but if he can land a head job this quickly, good for him.

I was in the car yesterday coming home from work heard this and about spit coke everywhere. I cannot believe he is in consideration for an NFL HC job. Ralph Wilson has gone off his rocker.

He's not HC material

In college, everyone in the pro is held accountable, They lose big money if they mess up, unlike college athlete who can constantly get beat or miss tackles. I believe Coach wies would be a great head coach in the pro.

He's a great OC, thats it. He lacks leadership & other qualities required to be a successful HC on any level.

don't get me started. CW has a good mind for football and a tremendous work ethic. He'll make a good NFL HC, just as he made a good college HC.

so all good head coaches never get fired? is that what your saying?

just because he was fired as a HC in college doesnt mean he is never going to be a Head coach ever again.

The man can coach, you guys with this logic that he is terrible just because he wasnt super successful at ND is mis guided and wrong

im still of the mind that he should have got another year here, but then again, kelly hasnt yet been given the opportunity to prove me wrong.

He's a terrible leader!! Whats so hard to understand about that? He lacks the ability to motivate people & crumbles under pressure. Those are the facts.

Another Chiefs fan!

I've been hoping for the same. we need some sort of O coordinator without a doubt.

A QB coach would be nice too.

Poor Buffalo. Weis is NOT head coach material. I think he would be better off as offensive coordinator.

you guys that are saying he cant be a head coach do realize that before Pete carroll had success at sc, he was fired twice as HC of the jets after 1 season and then again as HC of the patriots after a few seasons.

Coaches are hired to be fired, Gruden was fired, shanahan was fired, brian billick was fired, Dungy was fired, all names that some of you fans wanted to replace CW!?

Charlie is made for the pro game, he knows x's and o's and he doesnt have to motivate as much as he would in the college game. you could argue that pete carrol was just the opposite.
