verizon/cell phone question

my mom, dad and i are all on a family share plan with verizon. i was under the assumption that all 3 of our phones were eligible for the new every two thing that they have. well it turns out today, the day of my upgrade, that only my mom's phone is eligible because she is the primary line on the plan.

i've been planning on getting the voyager with the discounted pricing for a while now, but this kind of derailed my plans. i did some searching online and read that i could get the voyager with her discount online and when i recieve it, all i have to do is activate it to her number and then do an esn swap to my number.

my question is.....has anyone else had an experience with this and does the whole esn swap thing work? i want to be 100% sure before i try to do it.

My girlfriend used to work for Verizon. I will ask her when she gets out the shower.

Actually my girlfriend is doing the same thing because I am the secondary line and she's the primary line and I'm just letting her get the new phone with my line. So yeah you can do it. Once you get the phone you just call in to activate it.
