FSU to Gator Bowl!

How in the hell does a 6-6 FSU team get a bid to play in the gator bowl?

I think it's great to be honest. As much as I've been vocal about hating Florida football I simply have never been able to hate Bobby Bowden. He's like your funny old grandpa always making you laugh with off beat remarks & tremendous personality. I have a ton of respect for that man.

Nice that somebody in Florida wants to give him a send off he deserves rather than a slap in the face.

Like it was nice of them to reward Bobby the NC title in 93 even though he got beat by ND!!

Oh, so in order for ND to win an NC title they have to go undefeated, but everybody else with one lost can win it. FSU got beat headed to headed with ND that year. How is that justifiable? Samething happen to Texas last year. I just don't get it..

No I agree it wasnt right but I don't think you blame that on Bowden.

Two reasons for this bowl. One is that it will be Bobby's last game. Second is that WVU is the team Bobby coached prior to FSU.

I TOTALLY agree. I will REALLY miss him, ESPECIALLY his complete honesty.

(My wife hates him, because he stole Booker from Willingham at the last minute.)

gator bowl is in it to make money, this pick does not violate their 'rule of selection' , even thou they jump BC and Miami to make this pick.

i agree but some say this about ND when they get selected to a good bowl and they're not deserving. the officials of the Gator bowl know it's his swan song and the seats will be full of cheering fans.

Always about the money when it comes to bowl games. Hey, did anyone notice that (8) of our opponents on our ?weak ass schedule? are in bowl games (3) of which we beat. Also how sick is it that BC is playing USC in a bowl game?
