Deion Walker should be ready to step up, and Goodman, etc. We'll see what happens. If they give up so quick, oh well. You would think a new coach gives them a new chance to prove themselves and hit the field.

Toma's been chiming in with his disdain as well....but that's been basically been P*ssy withdrawl.

Yeah I don't want either to go, I worry about losing Cierre more though, with Allen and Hughes seniors next year that would leave ND with what Jonas, Theo, and Cierre. Jonas has a bad habit of putting the ball on the ground, Theo looks very promising but it helps greatly to have another guy to share the load with.

Again the only thing i have heard about Wood as that he wants to play. No transfer, no unhappiness. etc

Evans is homesick but plans to ride it out for another year at least

Stop giving these rumors any attention

I am with Jason. The important thing right now is to hope the ND administration makes the right personnel decisions this week. After that, we can start to worry about the kids already on the team and the ones we are trying to get to commit to the team.

everybody is a crybaby when things are going poorly. Recruits come and go but if we hit a home run on our HC hire we will build a house on a solid foundation.

Exactly! If some leave for whatever their reasoning is, it just opens the door for others to replace them! There's always top-notch recruits available!

I felt the same way, but I looked around and it's true. That's Shaq's Facebook status, and Toma replied saying that he feels him and "only 2 1/2 more weeks bro". But I think that means the Xmas break.

Either way, the new coach might have to recruit Shaq all over again...

That sounds like two 18-19 year old kids hungry to get home after their first semester of college and a rough football season

Thats definetly it.

The question will be if they come back, like so many of the thousands of kids who leave home for college, come home after the first semester, and don't return.

It happened a lot when I was at DePaul.

This happens at every program, from D-1 to NAIA, some guys leave at break and don't return....they gotta do what is best for them, sucks but just part of it, coaching change or not.

How have the recent transfers fared when they have left ND? Any pro careers? Frazier, Jones and Rueland come to mind. Frazier has been asked to hand off the ball, Jones to tackle and Rueland to watch from the bench. Not sure about some of the otehrs that split after Ty left.

I was thinking about that, too. None of those guys have been outstanding. Matt Carufel? Munir Prince? Richard Jackson?

All of this is speculation and normal. Think about it:
-freshman players who didn't see a lot of time.
-season that had to be rough.
-coaching in flux.
-maybe the first time in nasty cold weather.

I wish these kids the best, whatever they decide to do. I remember going to the Tulane library my freshman year and looking at college catalogues. Didn't end up transferring, but this is pretty normal. Like Jason said, it looks like they are riding it out for the time being. Hopefully, they start having a better school experience.

I have a busy day today... and then I hope something happens and I get knocked out in a coma and come out of it for the Purdue game... or my family is smart enough to leave the TV on in the hospital for some Big East - ND basketball games and I hear them in my coma... and I wake up with no side effects... oh, and Mer sends in my ticket money for my season tickets.

Evans got screwed. No way is Robby F'ing Parris better than him.

No one on this board is at every practice, film session, class, and study hall. My point is none of us know the entire story.

Weis said repeatedly Shaq wasn't in the doghouse. He could have been protecting Shaq. It could have been an issue we wouldn't know of.

Also could have been that Weis had so much respect for Parris that he gave him more snaps than Shaw knowing that we weren't competing for a national title or BCS game

if they do in fact leave, it won't surprise me at all....I fully expect more players to leave.

Tate and Clausen on the top of that list of players to leave....

I feel sorry for both of them, it was nice to see Evans get in a few plays this year, but he could've been used more often. As far as for Wood, he should've played no doubt about it. He could've been used for kick off returns and when Allen went down. I hope they rethink and decide to stay at ND.
