Read into what you wish. Saw it reported on FOX 28 this morning & thought I'd share...

Notre Dame mum on swirling issues -- chicagotribune.com

Century 21 real estate agent Kathye Currey told the Tribune on Tuesday that the house Clausen's family owns at 703 E. Angela Blvd. in South Bend has been sold.

"It has an accepted offer on it right now," Currey said of the property that is mere steps from campus. "It was for sale, it listed on the middle of July of this year. And it just went pending last week.

"Pending (means) the sellers have accepted an offer on it. It's sold. It just has not closed with the title company yet."

St. Joseph County records still show the Clausens as the owners, but an official said a change in records could take two months to process.

Jim Clausen Sr., could not be reached for comment Tuesday.

Then it begs the question why did they buy it to begin with & why are they now selling it?

I'm not saying it means anything but I wouldn't be so quick as to claim it as nothing without knowing any of details as to why.

Right, it means nothing.

The Clausens up root themselves from CA and move 1/2 way across the country to watch their son play 3 years of football. Now he is going into his senior year and they decide to sell the week after the last home game. Also after the last home game in which his mentor and reason for coming to ND will be coaching there. I guess it's all just one big coincidence. They probably just sold their home so they can go live in a basement apartment and watch Jimmy play senior year.

And I'm sure Swarbick pulled the rug out from Charlie's West Coast recruiting trip next week because he misses him when he's away and wants to have him over his house for dinner next week.

Let me preface this by saying, I don't believe Clausen's staying, and I don't think he'd stay even if Charlie was back next year.

But if the house went on the market in July, its not necessarily anything more than coincidence that its just selling now. The real estate market sucks right now, this easily could've been the first offer they got.

Right. If anyone thinks that they are selling b/c Jimmy wont be back next year is ignoring the fact that they put it on the market in July. Did they know that Jimmy would have a great year, jump up the draft boards 2 months before the season started? What if Jimmy broke his leg in practice and HAD to come back next year. It is just a coincidence.

That being said, I definately think Jimmy is gone. But the house being sold is not a telltale sign of that.

Folks,
Stop wearing those Kelly Green glass which cloud your clear judgement. Jimmy Clausen is going PRO and was going PRO regardless of Charlie Weis' future. The kid is looking at a monster payday.

If he was our son, we would be doing the same thing. Wake up from your dream of thinking that he needs another year of college football. Why would he stay?? There is no reason.

Thanks Jimmy for all the great memories watching you pass like no other in ND history. We wish you the absolute best in the NFL and hope you bring us one more great memory at Stanford this weekend.

People he is gone, he isn't coming back next year, also CW is gone after Saturday. The writing is on the wall. I wish Jimmy the best & thanks for the memories, I just wish he had a better O-line when he started in 2007. Now it's time to move on with Crist next year...........

House up for sale in July and sold in November. That's pretty good, actually. There are homes on my street that have been for sale for over a year. It's got nothing to do with Clausen's future, though.

i never said he was leaving so quit trying to put words into peoples mouths. All i was saying is exactly what everyone has. It has nothing to do with his decision. Stop reading to far into things.

I think with no Clausen and a new coach ND is a 6-6 football team again next year. Sorry for being a downer.

So it's not possible at all that he had made a decision way back in July? Just exploring all possibilities.

Oh no, that's highly possible. Like I said, I thought he was gone with or without Charlie staying on another year. My point was just, if he (Jimmy) is gone, the house being sold now has nothing to do with the impending fate of Charlie Weis.

Trib has retracted the story without much explanation of why.

Notre Dame mum on swirling issues -- chicagotribune.com

On his twitter feed, reporter Hamilton says he was given "bad info." I suppose that is possible but he clearly quoted the realtor as saying she had a good offer on the house. It raises the question of whether he was in fact even talking to the right realtor about the right house.

They have a house in Cali, they didn't uproot themselves I believe, if that was the case I would assume we wouldn't have heard the stories about flying floyd, tate, rudy out to cali to be with jimmy weeks before the season.

i believe they just used the house for home game weekends.

if you believe that jimmys parents are selling their house because he is leaving ( i believe he is leaving but there is no tie imo) then you probably believe that he really was out with his parents at 3am on Sunday morning when he got punched. They were just having a family dinner, hell i know i eat family dinner at the local bar with my folks well into sunday morning always.

well, supposely, he was with his gf/date too... wondering what she looks like for some of jimmy's caliber... knowing that he'd probably 'upgrade' when he goes to NFL.

i'm just saying, i didn't make many trips with mom and dad to eat dinner, after the game, in college at 2 or 3 am with my girlfriend at a bar ya know. first report i heard was he was with his brother, then espn spun it or the university spun it to say he was out with his parents....yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh right.

In my honest opinion, I dont think it was possible. I mean what had Jimmy done the first 2 years to warrant him leaving? Absolutely nothing. What if he stunk it up this year and Crist took over? That is laughable now, but we didnt know that back in July. No way he had his mind made up then.
