The answer to your question, if taken at face value, depends almost exclusively on whom is head coach. If it remains CW, its one answer, if its any one of 15 other guys, then there are 15 potential different answers.

I don't see the university going anywhere but South Bend. I don't think they are headed south for sure, East and North are ehhh, maybe west so we can keep that cali pipelie going. I think they stay in the Bend though.

more of what i ment was are we ever going to get back to the top? your right depending on who we get as head coach all depends but with jimmy getting punched in the face, i think that will scare the recruits and if that happens there goes the talent

Depends upon who they hire. If they don't hire a big name coach like Stoops and somebody like Kelly or Patterson. We'll go back to being an unstable program where recruits would avoid South Bend like a plague

I agree completely. It's a disaster if Charlie is fired and these guys turn us down.

which is what I see happening sadly I dont think we will get anyone really worthwhile and we will be forced to settle like we did when Ty got fired

if you are asking, will the team get better in the next two years, i say yes. there are probably a bunch of college coaches who can take the current talent and coach them to better than 7-6 next year (CW just isnt one of them).....and the coaches being considered would bring in plenty of quality recruits and could certainly get this team to 9-3, 10-2 during the next couple years.

Wouldn't mind having Tommy Tuberville.. If can drop that BS spread idea and get back to the basics of pounding the ball like he did at Auburn for years..

Because CW is absolutely incapable of having a 9 or 10 win season or developing players. I mean, if Wilingham had never gotten fired, that team was just bound to win a national championship, maybe even a superbowl.

Give me a break. Charlie may deserve to be fired, but to say that he can't take the current talent and make them into a BCS team is to underestimate him.
