I wish Zbikowski were there for it...real fighting irish
must've been weisbank4....he's an angry & unhappy individual.
Jimmy was leaving after having dinner with his parents, no word on whether his brother(s) were with them. He wasn't in any bar fight, he had left, was outside headed to the car, guy called his name, he turned, and got clocked.
He did not retaliate, b/c he isn't an asshole, he isn't a shit-starter, he isn't just another cocky S.O.B. Jimmy left with his folks. It was a cocky, irate fan that hit him.
What hasn't been reported on ESPN, or pay sites, as of yet, was whether it was a UCONN or ND fan. The way they report it you are to assume its an ND fan mad about the loss, but there are no facts o this yet.
well from everything ive seen clausen is a cocky s.o.b.
the guy probably said something about him or weis or nd related, and jimmy probably said something stupid back.
no need for this at all.
Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was punched in the face by an irate fan outside a South Bend restaurant early Sunday morning and has a swollen eye, a person briefed on the incident said on Monday.
That person said Clausen was "sucker-punched" by a fan as he left an establishment after having dinner with his parents.
The fan allegedly said something to Clausen and/or a female acquaintance.
A South Bend police spokesman said that no police reports were filed over the weekend involving Clausen, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The newspaper also reported that the name of the bar was CJ's and that a bartender at the establishment said that Clausen had been there with family members and other Irish upperclassmen after Notre Dame's loss to Connecticut on Senior Day.
The source told ESPN.com that the injury is not expected to keep Clausen from playing this weekend against Stanford.
Oh man i would love to see someone try to step up to Zibby . I'm gone for a day and i miss this. Hopefully the guy who punched him got his shit checked later. Sucks for Jimmy but he will still play at least. I kinda wanna see his eye now
Technically Zibby probably couldn't punch someone in public like that because He has fought in 1 fight that I know of that is considered professional boxing and I could be wrong about this but Professional boxer's hands are considered a "registered weapon" so if Zibby punched some dude at a bar he could get in deep shit. Thats why so many boxers have constant body guard patroling with them, because they cant realy fight back. Thats what I ve heard atleast, i could be wrong. It would still be awesome if Zibby did lay this dude out tho.
Thanks for the info, but just to clarify - where did you come across this? Did you know someone who was there? I'm not trying to question what you said, but there have been so many rumors, that it would be nice to label one as credible
i saw some pictures of him on waht appears to be saturday night pre punch.. he doesnt look all that sober
What a crap article. The "author" criticizes for not win ing every game but then negates the blame by saying it was the wr fumbles and Allen fumbling and the o-line sucking and the defense not holding in overtimeI just had to post this article. Does anyone know anything about this website? It is the biggest load of crap I have ever read...
