It was on that other site, that CW said he has an announcement tomorrow. They said it was confirmed by WNDU, but I couldnt find anything. I can confirm that the rumor is on the ND rivals boards. I didnt get to hear CW's post game comments, can anyone shed some light on this?

it wouldnt surprise me for him to come out and bow out gracefully but not tomorrow, although he may announce it tomorrow. i thought about that after watching him walk on the field the way he did today... someone else posted a topic about it but i really think it was decided this week.

It's just rumors at this point. Mike Frank, who is pretty well connected, checked with people and they heard nothing. Doesn't mean it's not true, but at this point nothing anywhere has been confirmed by real sources.

The presser is at 12:45 eastern tomorrow afternoon. I'll be at breakfast with my family. Damn!

Interesting thought, (even though the blog is nothing more than "I heard" and claims no author), that CW would have resigned before the game.

I found the game coverage annoying in that it seemed NBC had prepared propaganda to get rid of the guy.

I haven't really cared for Pat Hayden's comments or style for some time now. I know NBC and ND's agreement not to have a homer so there would be 'commentary objectiveness' *whatever* -- but really??? Pay Hayden's attitude towards the Irish is less than desirable.

I cant see him resigning with only 1 week left but we will see.

I was thinking the samething about nbc. It was like they took pleasure in the fact it was more then likely his last home game.

Pat Haden has been the biggest d-bag for a long time now. He takes any and all pleasure in things that come up against the Irish. How come on the broadcast we never hear about special interest stories about Irish players but we hear about the opposition ad nauseum? Are you telling me we should know more about the other team's players than about our own?!? F-Haden and F-Hammond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coach Weis we love you!!!

He may resign today, then again he may not.

Everybody seems to have jumped on a line he said after the game when he was asked about how he felt and he said, "Not today, tomorrow. Today's about them." He was talking about Senior Day and the players. Tomorrow, Sunday, would be his day for a Press Conference ask the questions about him then.

Ahh yes. Those blessed "sources" again. Its like when my kids make a mess or do something they aren't supposed to do. When they get busted it was never them, it was always some character named "Not Me".

Another site is saying it is on ESPN2 at 12:45.

I don't think it's gonna be on ESPN 2. That Fantasy Football Live show goes up to kick off so they can keep people up to date. ESPNews is probably the best bet.

I would agree with that logic.

Is it on now?

I really don't want to see Charlie resign, I'd rather him not officially "quit" on the team.

I wouldn't see it as quitting. He can say effective as of the end of the season or after the Bowl game. I think he would do it to allow the reality and immediate needs of ND to be addressed.

I'm sure NBC would like to see a new coach. It will provide a spike in the ratings next year and a better ND team equals more viewers. Who can blame them. For an SC guy PAt HAden could be a bigger Douche than he is. I would still rather have Joe Theisman in there.
