ESPN just announced they'd have coverage of Weis' press conference scheduled for Noon EST.

Why would ESPN cover it? Is there expected to be an announcement or something today?

He does always have a PC on Tuesdays, but how often does ESPN decide to cover it?

Might not be anything, but kind of weird. Maybe ESPN smells blood in the water.

No I don't think it has anything to do with anything more than ESPN is just jumping on the coverage because of all the controversy swirling.

Why would espn cover that unless they'd heard something big was happening? They don't just go to normal press conf. After games to hear why we lost.and Im sure they wouldn't just go unless they've heard something.I know a lot of u guys hate espn, but they are the best in the business.

They sent 2 reporters to cover last week's pc, so I wouldnt put too much stock into it

nah I think your reading too much into it. They're just looking for drama.

I personally don't hate ESPN. It's on my TV almost every hour I'm home when theres not a game on I wanna watch on another network. I just hate some of their journalist & can't figure out how they have a job. If they played Mike & Mike in the morning all day long I'd die a happy man.

They probably heard from an "inside source" something was going to happen. I would be surprised if they are just trying to get people to watch and boost their ratings.

They are doing what they do, they are gonna go and ask Charlie questions about his future that he won't answer....By the way ESPN is on my t.v. all the time too, b/c its the only sports all the time channel, just b/c they have a monopoly on sports "reporting" does not mean they are the best. They have gotten as bad as Entertainment Tonight in some areas, they hear crap from a "source" and then spew it as fact....Not pickin on them, its really hard to watch anything these day and get the facts instead of opinions.

They are not the best in the business. They are just buzzards circling the dead body. Irrelevant- is Cowherd there for therapy- that would be a classic move by the great sports leader.

Watching it on ESPN News..

Reporters seem like they were told subjects they can't ask about because they seem to be dancing around questions they really want to ask.

Nothing really to report so far

Charlie said no decision has been made about his future and if there was he would know so it's business as usual with recruiting etc...

Just watched some of Charlie's press conference... he looked like his dog just died. Dog = career. I think he knows he's done.

Damn, nobody wants to ask any questions.. only one on the phones

Do you guys not watch these every week? This was about as average a press conference as you can get. The only difference with this one vs. one any other week was the question about if he's heard anything regarding his future, and he actually answered it.

Charlie always looks like that, the reporters always ask similar questions, there's always lengthy pauses between questions... there was really nothing different about this one.
