Recruiting for this kid is starting to pick up. ND just offered. CW says he reminds him of Mo Stovall. He's huge. Same HS as former ND player Justin Brown. Also a standout basketball player.

Back in November, his dad had this to say about Brandon:

“There’s no one outright,” he said. “He’s searching first and foremost for a quality education and a good environment. Obviously he wants a school that passes just as much as they can run.”

Coleman and Bishop McNamara just wrapped up the season with a loss to Good Counsel.

“Brandon has been consistent this year,” he said. “I think his best attributes as a player are his height and speed.

“Normally you don’t expect speed at that height. Then, he plays basketball too so he’s good at positioning himself and has good field awareness.

“He still needs to work on his strength, get a little stronger. That’s the biggest challenge.”

Thanks BGIF. I couldn't find this damn thread.

Anyways, he is no longer interested in the Irish. Sorry for the bad news LOL.

I always hate to lose kids, but we are good at WR, and are in the mix with some really talented kids. So it doesn't hurt. But good luck to the kid...

Is he projected as a TE?

Rivals and Scout project him as a WR and they both list him with a 4.5 40 rather than the 4.73 listed below. I don't recall seeing a Combine time for him.

ESPN considers him potentially a monster receiver but they note he's inconsistant. He does win the jump balls he should with his height advantage. His hands are inconsistent. ESPN notes he has enough speed for short routes and slants but not to go downfield on speedy DBs (so maybe that 4.5 should be 4.73). They think he could be a Hback/TE or even play defense "in the front seven".

He also has a 880 SAT score.

oh, ok thanks, lol, rivals had him listed as a 4 star recruit...6'6 200 lbs. physically seems like good size for a receiver.

There was discussion (ESPN??) last summer that he might be more a TE prospect (with added bulk) than a WR do to speed question. he's still listed at 4.5 so I don't know.
