Michigan looked inept against IL - the worst Big 10 team by a mile. USC didnt belong in the stadium with Oregon.

The Michigan loss is looking more and more like a terrible loss every week.

What sucks is that we looked 10 times better than Michigan even in the loss.

We can't worry about the games that have already passed. As long as we keep winning and teams ahead of us lose, we have a very good shot.

All ND has to do is win out...that's it. There is no way ND doesn't get the at-large bid if we're qualified.

Im just saying the computers are always rolling this stuff into the rankings and after playing the high school team, WSU. USC probably dropping to 15th and Michigan long gone, MSU losing, Purdue losing 37-0, Navy lost to Temple, UConn lost - our SOS just took a massive hit.

I agree with you that our stock took a hit this week, but if we win against a top 10 Pitt team, we jump up big in the rankings.

This is a huge game. If we could somehow win going away by 2 TDs or more it would do wonders. I think we are 2 tds better but these teams come out so geeked up to beat ND that it always makes for a close game.

Our D-Backs help make it close too!

ND is in no position to be worrying about SOS...we just need to keep winning, let the chips fall where they may.

We need amrPitt to beat the %$^& out of 'Cuse and then we need to beat the ^*%* out of armPitt. Especially because I want to see the excuses Mark May will make up to explain why armPitt just got beaten to a pulp.

I've been saying that for a month. The problem is that us talking about it doesn't change anything. Too bad Tate Forcier didn't get exposed before ND played Michigan.

Things will work out if we win out. Glancing at other BCS top 25 teams schedules we are sitting fairly nice. Any late season upsets will be a bonus.

I think it will be as much about HOW we win, as it will be THAT we win. I know that style points don't count for much in the computer rankings, but they sure as hell do in terms of the coaches poll, which ultimately does factor in here. If we squeak by Navy/Uconn/Stanford, I think we find ourselves left out of the BCS puzzle, even if we beat Pitt. I mean, come on now, we smacked Wash State in the face, just as we were supposed to do, and the polls gave us NO love at all - 23 up to 22? It proves to me that the pollsters aren't going to care much about W's over Navy/UConn and Stanford, even though WE all know that those are likely going to be very tough games and we may even drop one of those. So I think that for us to get into a BCS contest, we need a BIG, win, a program-defining win, against Pitt on the road. And hopefully they are in the top 10 when we bring them down.

The reason we only moved up 1 spot is because our strengh of schedule took a sledgehammer this weekend.

Michigan is falling off the planet, USC got waxed, almost every other team on our scedule got waxed good Saturday, throw in the fact that we played the worst team in D1 and we really should be thankful that we moved UP a spot.
