I went on Foxsports.com to do a head-to-head comparison of us vs Wash St. You can do it do at CFB - Head to Head - FOX Sports on MSN. Since I can't figure out how to paste the comparison here, I'll let you go out and see how we should dominate this game.

I compared our O vs their D, and the only stat they are better in is 3rd down %. They are allowing 35% conversions, and we are converting 38.5%.

I'm not sure how "valid" these stats are, but it's fun to compare....

were 4 touchdown favorites......so I assume we will need a game saving interception or a TD as time expires.......

I went to the Syracuse game last year thinking that I'd get to see our boys light it up on offense and crush their souls on defense, and you all know how inaccurate those projections were.

We need to beat this team, and I mean beat them. No last-minute heroics, we need to show that while we aren't where we want to be yet, we are nowhere near as bad as some people fear.

I hope Weis reminds this team about how bad it felt to lose to Syracuse last year. That should get them ready to go this week.

Aye. Gosh dang the realism in ND fans this season. However, I concur.

One of the biggest problems with this team is we always play to whatever caliber our opponent is. This has been evident all year (minus the Nevada game) by all the close scores. We get up for big games & play down to lesser teams. BC game was solid proof of this. Team was horrible & QB was awful & we barely squeaked by when we should have mopped the field with them.

I'd like to see this team for once play to their own caliber & blow Wash St. out of the water but at this point my faith in that isn't all that strong.

You realize if this is the score we will drop in the polls the same as a loss. This WSU team sucks. They are brutal. They make Nevada look like a powerhouse.

I think we will win by more, but I have seen little in the past 6 games that shows that we know how to play above our opponents level. I hope it's 56-0.

Would a blow-out change your mind? Usually at this point in the season, a team can be defined by how they've played. The end of September usually gives a team their trademark. If they're happy with squeeking by, they will. If they are content with losing by a TD or less, then they will.

Only big wins at this point in the season change that frame of mind. Let's hope for a Wazzou arse whoopin'...

If anything can get an underdog riled up to play way over their heads, it's to tell them they suck. Did we not learn anything from the Syracuse game where some predicted we will win by 50+ points. A little humility would help keep the waters calm...As Charlie has so eloquently said on numerous occasions.....let's do our talking on the field...where it counts and leave all the bullshit at the outhouse where it belongs.

I think Syracuse was as equally bad last year so I take no games as guaranteed victories and I view a close win over Wazzu as almost equal to a loss.

Man this team really forces me to drink a lot this season.

These guys played USC pretty tough at the LA Coliseum (27-6) but it was closer than that. We need to demonstrate improvement in all facets of the game and it would be nice to see more of the second third string guys get a chance to play with a comfy lead. More Riddick, Toma, Evans, Walker and others etc. Maybe we can discover the next game changer by seeing more of the young guys.
