UM last play broken coverage on D and the KAmara slip last play against USC. I figured since the clock doesn't run on an extra point I wouldn't count it when we went for 2 and make it. Either way closer than any other 2 loss team. I would take our 2 losses in which we defintely got screwed at UM as opposed to how bad VT got beat and the same goes for Miami. Both teams have losses of over 20 points. If we have Foyd healthy in all games we are 7-0 and we win without as much stress. Do you agree? Obviously these close games are not helping our ratings but BC, Mich St, Purdue, UW basically everyone on our schedule has shown they can play with anybody on any given week. I also think that every team has played some of their best football against us but Lou only has one vote I guess.
That's assuming an awful lot.
The Michigan TD came on 2nd down. So, even if they miss that play, you still have to hold them on 3rd down. If you manage to hold them on 3rd down, then they likely kick the field goal and go to overtime.
In the USC game.. Let's say Kamara keeps his footing and catches the Clausen pass... It took you three chances to get the ball in the end zone from the 4 yard line, but you think it is automatic that ND punches in a 2 pt. conversion?
I will agree with the premise that our two losses could more easily have been wins than anyone else's two losses, but be honest about it. To say that we are two plays away from being undefeated is just not true.
