I think there will be some changes to the defense this week. Personnel, blitz percentage.

Irish win 43-21

do you even like ND? In a year when there are plenty of positive things to talk about with this team, I don't think I've ever read anything but negativity in your posts. If that's all you have to offer, go the f*&% away.

If you dont like what I have to say or if you dont like my opinion then theres a very SIMPLE alternative dude........Dont read my posts. Yep, its really that easy. And yes I like Notre Dame, I just dont like Charlie Weis. Just because I think we are going to lose makes me a hater? I'm not going to be an idiot and a homer and say were going to win every game. Thats just absurd. oh and not gonna happen either.

Hes predicted us to lose every game

He's a troll. The best way to get rid of them is to ignore them. Don't react to anything he says. He will eventually get bored and go play elsewhere.

Oh, and ND 42 -- BC 31

I'm going to be optimisitc. ND will come out of that tunnel fired up and only remembering that they put up the first passing TD's on USC. It would be nice to have another shut out at home this year, but I'm going 38-10 ND

You took my guess Swash! Darnit! Okay, I am going to go a little higher and say 42-10. I think we hold them to 3 points and then give up a late BS TD.

Also, I have said it almost every game, so I am bound to be right one of these days - I think we get our first kick return to the house this game. I'm going to go with a KO return by Riddick to open the game.

Say what you will about his views or opinions, but NDOM is not a troll. He has had lots of great posts and entertainment on this board long before you slithered your way out of the primordial ooze of cyberspace and started walking upright in IE. Plus, he gets some really great bud, so he is always alright in my book.

By the way NDOM - its about 85 degrees here in So Cal. After work, I am going down to the beach and light up for a while and chill. Care to join me? How cold is it up your way?

I am sorry to hear that. California is great this time of year. The tourists are gone, the beaches are open, and the weather is some of the best around. However, on the flip side, watching college football in 80 degree weather doesn't really get you in the "college football" mood.

You are welcome anytime. The Guiness is always cold and the pipe is always clean.

Can someone explain to me why when we play at USC it's always the last game in November. But when the game is at ND it's way before it gets cold here. Why don't we play them here in late November????? I'll bet it would be a different game then....

Because Usc is a bunch of PUSSIES and wont play us that late in the season away from home because its too cold and theres a risk of snow. The only way they play us is when it is to their advantage.

Actually, the agreement is we always play a last game on west coast - that is how Knute set it up in '26 ('25) while playing Stanford in the Rose Bowl - within a year Knute's wife and a USC athletics employee thought it would be a great trip (employee's job was to convince KR and he ran into KR and his wife in Nebraska) - so we usually end with USC or Stanford as our last game - Hawaii has ended the season. Now before BGIF jumps all over me... Stanford is not a lock.. however, it is a general rule if not a golden rule. Since then USC has usually been mid-season here - we get last game every other year there.

Now all that being said - around '14' 0r '16... we start playing some indoor season closers instead of Stanford (New Orleans/ Syracuse/ Dallas (cowboy stadium) in the years we don't close with USC.

This shouldn't lessen the idea that they are still pussies.

I think it was either the late 40's or 50's, the AD at USC didn't want to play the away games when it was so cold and asked ND to move their game up in the season so it would be warmer for the USC boys. ND agreed.

USC played Notre Dame in November in 1950's, I think it was 1951.

USC was ranked very high (possibly #1) and lost 7-0. It was ridiculously cold.

That gave them the motivation to ask to play in October.
