I've been a supporter of Charlie up to this point, but most of this is his fault. Remember the 4th and 1 that didn't work? You have a reliable kicker and you don't go for 3? Gave SC the momentum and they haven't looked back. How many times do I have to see a failed 4th down try and then watch the opponent drive the field and score??? This is going to kill recruiting, which is going to kill his career at ND. It may not be this year, but it will eventually happen. How many top-flight recruits want to come to a school that continuously gets drilled versus big-time opponents. Depressing. Oh well.....I expected as much so I'm not really that upset.

The offense is so skilled. They drive down. They make plays and get first downs. They are doing there job. The defense is just inconsistent. I'm so pissed. I f'ing hate USC!!! Come on Clausen and your 4th quarter comebacks!!!

The problem here is that ND's offense can match up with any defense and score. 21 points against SC is monumental. The problem is that, with this defense, we need to be able to score 30+ every game and this USC defense (or any SC defense over the last 5 years) isn't going to give up 30+.

I blame Charlie in so much as he's the head coach and is responsible for the overall organization (like a CEO). But I'm not going to blame Charlie for the sake of head hunting.

I haven't had the opportunity to be around other ND fans in my life. Growing up in Louisiana, there just aren't any around.

But not until I started reading this board did I realize how obnoxious a lot of Irish fans are. I know every team has them (I've been around LSU fans all my life), but I guess I'd like to think ND fans are better. I'm starting to think in general it's worse. Some of you guys are really deplorable.
