Nothing like the jig (Rakes of Mallow)!

I can't really compare any of them with the Alma Mater, but I wouldn't really classify that as a fight song.

The Victory Clog is EPIC. I love hearing it when the Irish shut up the crowd on the road.

Agreed, Damsha Bua is the shit.

Back when I was in school, our Director of Bands would explain the different fight songs to the crowd at the end of Freshman Orientation. When he got to the clog, it sounded a bit like this...

"Damsha Bua, the Victory Clog is performed after each Irish victory. The Victory Clog will be played 12 times this year."

Hells yeah.

I can't even sing the alma mater alone in my house during post game. Choke up every time.

1812 Overture needs to be put to sleep. That sucker needed to go back when we were chanting, "Bob, Bob" at the end of the 3rd quarter in the late 90's. All sorts of wrong. I'll bet Charle wouldn't mind seeing that one go away, too.

I don't like it, either.

I'd love to hear the band play Edvard Greig's "In The Hall Of The Mountain King." I have no idea how one would arrange the piece for a marching band, but it might be worth a try. The driving tempo increase and pounding frenzy at the end is inspiring.

It was part of my "play list" while doing homework in high school – way back when. Part of an extreme mix that included Gene Krupa's "Big Noise From Winnetka" and other Big Band numbers, Jimi Hendix, Cream, Moby Grape, The Who and The Rolling Stones.

Here Come The Irish....Of Notre Dame.

Amen, that one gets me choked up. On big game days, I'll play the Victory March and then Here Come the Irish to get me fired up. My wife thinks I'm crazy.

I guess if the "current" Notre Dame fight song is not good enough, then I like this currently popular one
