It was mentioned on the week's ESPNU's Recruiting Insider that Braxton, and Omar would be rooming together while in Orlando for the game. They also felt that watching them play against each other would be one of the more interesting match-ups to watch during the game.

Is it me or does it seem like the last couple of years going into the Army All-American game we are predicted to be in good shape with all these recruits (Ben Martin, Chris Donald, etc.) but never seem to land any of their commitments. I always get the feeling of let down after the game because it seems like we always miss the boat. Does anybody see this year falling into that pattern

------Last year was the first year I accually watched it for mainly the announcements and it started off with Romine and went downhill after that. At least we got him...

That's because they were silents shortly before the game, but the way ND finished last year combined with a coaching change to ND's staff and all the anti ND poaching that went on at last year's game was the cause of that. This year won't be so much about the announcements as it will be watching so many of our commits. The only two announcements that ND will be involved in are G.Robinson at the Army AA Bowl, and D.Walker at the ESPN game. So no, I don't get that feeling.

US Army All-American game..

US Army All-American game..

We have like 13 players in the game, so who are u guys lookin forward 2 seein? I wait for this game every year and always love seeing our future players in this. I wanna c if Floyd is the real deal against the top corners in the country. This should give us a good indication if he is ready 2 contribute next season..I also wanna c Dayne Crist. He has been getting a lot of hype and is in the running for player of the year. From his film, I see him as a Tim Tebow type quarterback but you never really know for sure until he faces top competition...What do u guys think?

I dont think that Crist has the same scrambling ability that Tebow has. He's more of a pocket passer. I am looking forward to watching him and Floyd though.

I agree somewhat with the Tebow comparison because I think Dayne is an great athlete and runner and could be somewhat dual threat like Tebow. Dayne however is faster and shiftier where Tebow kind of bulldozes people over. Also Dayne is a much better passer coming out of high school. I think Dayne will be a better quarterback in the end because I think Tebow is a little overhyped. I never thought I would see somebody win the Heisman for being the best operator of the QB sneak in college football.

As far as the AAA game. I'm really looking forward to seeing McDonald and Filer because we haven't really had a beast at ILB since Courtney Watson IMO. I can't think of one play this year where one of our ILB's blew a play up and McDonald and Filer seem to have that ability.

Crist is very underated as a mobile quarterback. Just watch one of his game tapes

I've never watched the all-american games, but I know they are next month and hopefully I'll be able to catch one. There are two, right?

Also, I think floyd is the real deal, no need to worry. He's going to be a great one at Notre Dame.

Yeah, I saw part of his game that was televised early in the season and, if I remember correctly, a guy hit him and fell down and Dayne kept going.

I'm looking forward to seeing how all are recruits do in this game and the one on ABC an hour after the AAA starts. Don't have tivo so will really have to pat attention when their are no N.D. recruits in one game I can flip to the other.

I still have hope for Toryan Smith and Morrice Richardson (outside linebacker?), but we need some top-flight LB's to go along with Brian Smith and Kerry Neal.

and so true about tebow. I can't wait to see him win the heisman tonight, if he hasnt already won it, because he is so overrated.

Good luck, the ND recruits are going to star in both. :)

Yeah I'm thinking it might be easierto just have two tv's going and try working the mute button.

I agree. Great post bro. Tebow uis overhyped. I have yet 2 see him throw an accurate pass from beyond 10 yards. I 2 am lookin forward 2 seeing Filer as I c him as the best chance 2 get playin time as a true frosh for the LB's.

I'm really looking forward to the game this year. It's not something I normally watch, but with so many future Irish players this year, I will have a vested interest.

I hadn't been paying attention to this (obviously) because I just realized the two games are on the same day with kickoffs separated by an hour. I'm pissed. I'll probably doing what Dayton has in mind with two TV's going on mute.

Instead of a ND kid scoring a TD or getting a pick or a sack and looking into the camera to say "Hi Mom!" I'd love for one to look right in the camera and say something to one of the other Irish commits playing in the other game. I.E. wish you were here! Can't wait for February 6th...

If only Deion was playing in the Army all american game so we could recruit him a little more, even though Penn St doesn't have any recruiting power in either of the games so, we are not really hurt by it.

Well, he'll be with Cave, Hunter and Slaughter so it's not like he'll be lonely.
