I have to agree that CW's job is definitely on the line. I am not saying he will be fired if he loses this game, but if he does lose the Irish will then have to run the table for the rest of the season for him to have a chance.
If the Irish are blown out at home, after a bye week, by a first year starter at QB and a ridiculously banged up team that has lost a great deal of talent to Washington, it will be bad... I don't think the trustees wold stand for a blow out

So... I'm unsure anyone with half a brain can half-heartedly pull out the fair weather clause related to my post.

It actually flashed into my head this past game that CW's job may be on the line if ND lost. It flashed into my head. Not because I want him to go, but because others might.
I still don't think we are a 11-1 team yet, but as many others have said in other threads, I LOVE THIS TEAM.

I should have the new closet finished by then. I found a nice pair of steel-toed work boots at Mills Fleet Farm. I had my "shoe guy" spiff 'em up with a color scheme I think you'll like. Come on by ... I'll probably be drinking like it's Oct. 17th – with plenty to share.

Most of the time I really like CW and what he stands for. He has a great work ethic, pride in ND and he's a tough SOB. I think the majority of ND fans will hate for a short period of time on any ND coach when they make bone head decisions especially making such big bucks. Charlie has brought alot back since we dumped Ty. We have hope and even though some of it might be delusional we were able to think for a minute that we could win it all (at least until we lose). That hope didn't exist with Davie or Ty but it has surfaced 3 out of 5 years with CW and even if we lose a couple more games this year most of us are going to have the same hope next year because we know our D will be studs and the O will be even better. Right now CW is Ok with me. We will either have a surprise for USC and have our second win that doesn't go down to the wire or something different. Why can't we score 40 points with this offense? We haven't even played a near perfect game yet. This could be it.
Let's do it or I'm changing my name from "BeatSC". I'm thinking of getting FUSC on one gun and ND on the other and I live in SoCal. F'M!
