Guys,
I was watching the OSU v Illinois game on Saturday with a couple thoughts running thru my head. First, what would our O look like with Benn, Floyd and Tate as WR's?? Can you say SICK!!!!!!!

Well, the bigger thought I had was that Benn is being wasted at Illinois. I know he would never say it in public, but when thinking to himself he must regret not coming to ND. He is stuck with a QB, Juice, who could not hit a billboard from 10 feet. Even when he does connect with a WR, he puts them in bad positions. Further, he is stuck on a team that is haeded downhill. Zook had his one flash two years ago and since is fading.

He could be getting fed the ball by Jimmy on Saturday's on National TV. Benn, you should have passed on that fast talking Zook.

Guy never crosses my mind. the only one i wish we had was Gerald McCoy. That guy alone changes the entire defense.

Kids make mistakes. The NCAA probably bans trio's like that at WR with clausen...tate, floyd, and benn would be insane.

I'm happy with the guys who want to be IRISH and benn is kicking his own ass right now for going to illinois

See Demetrius Jones at starting LB at Cincy? He could be playing at wildcat right now if he had show some patience.

You must have been in my mind as I watched Little play against Ga Tech. My thoughts exactly- what would have happened if Benn and Little came here. Benn with this group of receivers and Little playing safety or slash like Tate did against Purdue.

Actually, currently floyd isnt better because floyd is injured, so now we are down to one home run threat in Tate. I really hate to see guys like him slip away, hell i started following recruiting when the whole benn being silent committ thing happened.

Guys we have missed out on that we had a chance with, just to name a few.

Jahvid Best-we actually got the guy on campus if i remember right, i know we were in his final choices

Gerald McCoy- not sure if we were ever in the race, but i think i remember hearing that we were.

Arrelious Been- big time reciever one time silently committed to us.

Jonathan Baldwin- his TD catch last year actually beat us in SB.... and he wanted in, but yea.... we wont go there.

Ryan Miller- starting OG for Colorado, freshman AA, now in his junior year. It came down to us and Colorado..... we lost out on the home team.

Ben Martin
- starting DE for Tennessee. They pulled him from Cincy, and the kid has the pass rushing skills we are currently lacking. Made his final cut.

two starting DL at floridas current team, ranked #1 in the nation. tennesee has a couple guys we missed out on.... as does arizona, UCLA, and especially USC. yea we have missed a few.

ON AND ON AND ON...... but we have the guys here who want to be here, thats the most important thing. We need to land these difference makers though, especially if we can get them here. Defense is starting to recruit better. It will come around.

Trattou, Omar...

Reggie Bush was interested in Notre Dame. I've heard Matt Lienart used to be a big-time ND fan.

Just by the nature of recruiting, you are going to "lose" out on more guys than you "win". Many, many more scholarship offers go out than guys that end up committing, so why bother looking at who we didn't get?

How about the ones we did get? Clausen, Teo, Floyd, and that list is growing and growing. All those guys could have gone elsewhere too and I am sure, at times, were tempted, but they chose to be Irish. Someone said it above, if they don't WANT to be Irish from the start, so be it. They are better off elsewhere.

Plus, who is to say whether or not Benn is happy with his decision???

Yeah Jahvid best was interested in us but we had AA and Hughes on board at the time. He also did not want to leave Cali. That must be Weis's fault

Berkeley has better strains of marijuana floating around than South Bend does.
