Ladies and gentlemen, I do not care how you feel about Jimmy Clausen. However, when asked about him years down the line, you will remember this game. Not playing for half of the game and then coming in for the last drive to lead his team to victory with 24 seconds left. This is what legends are made of. Joe Montana battled sickness to come back and lead his team to a victory. I don't care about stats, Heisman consideration, what he did was phenomenal. This will be remembered for years.

WOW!!! thats all i can say about Jimmy Clausen. The kid has heart and a cannon attached to his right arm. I am very thankful #7 is wearing gold and blue!! On the final drive Jimmy spread it around and we finally moved it down the field. Let's hope Jimmy's toe continues to get better and is closer to 100% next week.

I was impressed with Crist's athleticism. He has the ability to be a pretty good QB.

Jimmy is the real deal - not Jacory, not Mallette, not Snead, not PSU's Clark,.... Who goes into a final drive, behind 4, no momentum, without their #1 receiver, without their #1 rusher, with a turf toe (limping all night), sitting cold for an intermision, third Q and 1/2 the 4th... a Notre Dame legendary moment.

Jimmy Clausen just might end his career as the best quarterback in Notre Dame history.

could we somehow put him on defense too - he would have to be able to tackle better than any of those clowns and he's a helluva lot tougher

Just might? Kid is playing beyond his years right now. I have a serious Broner and my Bromance is in full swing.

Dayne was ok, but he was only allowed to hand off basically. Clausen has progressed from an overwhelmed, shell-shocked kid, to an absolute stud and leader of the team. He most likely won't win the Heisman, but if there is anyone more important to their team, I'd be amazed.

The offense is completely different when Mr. Clausen is at the helm. I get that 07 feeling when Crist comes in. The offense is taylor made and fined tuned by Clausen, it just isnt the same if someone else is running it; Crist will have his time, but its not now.

What is Mr. Clausen gonna do against Washington?

Yeah I agree Clausen know the system inside and out and has great timing with the receivers and backs, and he should since its his 3rd year starting. Crist, I thought was fine he overthrew tate, but overall he managed the game well and did not make any bad turnovers. For a player getting his first significant game time I thought he did just fine as a game manager.

I thought Crist did well, think of how you would be talking if only he threw that ball about 5 yards shorter or with a little more air and Tate takes it in for the TD!!! It would have been amazing!

He most likely won't win the Heisman,

I wouldnt say that.

He is starting to get on the Heisman radar. Herbrstiet and Rece Davis are starting to buy into it and all his biggest games are still ahead. Its been a crazy year so far. Just because he is not the favorite after 4 weeks does not mean his numbers might surprise some voters when the time comes.

Anyone have an idea on how long it will be before Jimmy is 100%?

Could be weeks or longer. Did you hear him telling Erin he had a similar problem last sesason? Do remember when he (and ND) went through a bad streak? Where his performance level dropped?

Then remedy is rest, stay off the foot. There is an off week before after UW but that's when he should be honing his timing with the scrub receivers for USC.

it was luck. he still sucks

It helped that Parris had a fifty yard cushion.

Guys, what has Parris done THIS year to make you hate him so much? Get over it. Every time he's brought up, you act like he plays for Michigan or something. He's caught every ball thrown to him so far this year, and is a valuable 3rd down receiver for this team. Stop acting like a jilted lover and give a Fighting Irish football player some love for a job well done. If he drops that pass, or doesn't sell the deep route (and yes, I laughed and I told me wife that I couldn't believe that the DB thought a white guy with no speed was going to beat him deep), we probably lose this game.

Thank you Robby...well done!
