I see no reason to start building an ark.

"Hey Lord, what's a cubit?"

(besides a WMU coach and his QB son)

The word Cubit comes from the Latin Cubitum which refers to the forearm. It was measured from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger. This provides a foolproof method for gauging the size of Noah's Ark- at least approximately.

I'm not a Charlie-hater, but if our Irish lose this game it should have a bit of an ominous tone for his future; moreso that Rodriguez's.

I believe ND has far superior offensive fire power and a much improved defense that should be able to at least contain Michigan's attack. There's no reason to believe we don't win this game.

If, in his 5th year, Charlie is still losing rivalry games he should win, why shouldn't he be on the hot seat?

The quote is from one of Bill Cosby's best shtick's. It had to do with floods, an ark, cubits, and such. Funny stuff.

And one again you fumbled.

Actually BGIF, I'm one of the few who agree with him wholeheartedly. We went over this on this board a million times, and we argued (Phork and I) a million times. For me, excuses are like a**holes. Scoreboard. If Harrison hadn't made that stupid penalty vs. Pitt, we would've won. Well guess what, we didn't. Phork already outlined his points. We just disagree, that's all. Erik is one of the few that agrees with me, most agree with Phork and BGIF. It's all good.

And Erik, actually I didn't think your tone was that bad. You didn't mock anyone, which you did on the other 2 posts...

NDinLA, most teams at this level don't fumble 8 times a game, what I am saying is don't expect it to happen again.

I think most good teams don't fumble that much. I think Michigan is better than last year so you're right, it probably won't happen again... ESPECIALLY, since the the weather reports predict a fantastic day for football which is good for ND airing it out.

PS... I was at the game last year and it was INSANE. Most rain I ever sat through.

Thanks for the insight into the mind of a ND fan on their coach, now I have to go shower to get the Irish off me :)

Seriously it's been a pleasure talking with you guys this last week or so.

As for UM outplaying ND most of the game - except for fumble/scores - by the time ND had a sufficient lead, they tend to go into maintainance mode - as they did against Nevada - and as UM did against WMU.

UM outscored ND 17-14 after the initial 21-0 lead. ND better not go into cruise control this time.

And Notre Dame actually had a touchdown drive to get that 21 point lead. So, if we use that logic, we still would've won 21-17.

Meh, whatever. I'm just saying do not discount what UM did last year in that game.

They outgained us 388 to 260 also. Granted we had a shorter field to work with for most of the game and played pretty conservatively for the 2nd half but still.

Thats my point. And therefore why I am worried. Tenuta's record vs the spread isn't very impressive. Check out when GT played WVU (hows that for comparison) in 2007.

Forcier ain't Pat White.

On a side note, RIDICULOUS predictions from Michigan fans. Some of them are predicting a 41-16 Michigan win.

Me too! Friggin' monsoon in the 2nd half! And we loved it because we were winning! Great experience. What Mich fans love to forget it that it was rainind for both teams, not just Michigan. Also, before the rain came, Mich had no answer for Floyd and Tate, especially Tate. Then the floods came, we couldn't run the ball, and Michigan had the advantage because they could. And they STILL lost by a wide margin. Scoreboard baby.

And Phork, I KNOW that's not going to happen again (the turnover parade). I'm with you...this game scares me more and more as it gets closer. I hope the other 'experts' on here are correct, and that we have a comfortable margin...

This question just reminds me of the scene in the movie friday night lights when the coach is talking to the sheriff a couple days before the state championship
