Funny guy, love the act

...

Isn't it the same guy?

He doesn't need a scholly, he's made plenty on his comedy tour and his movies. What was that movie where he played a spy and died so his twin (him) acted like him? I think Anthony Hopkins was in that one with him. Great movie. He will keep the locker room loose.

He's even got coaching experience, did some charity work with a prison team that played the prison guards...I do think he got injured in the line of duty though, might be an issue down the road

Smart, Knows how to get stuff done, charitable, sounds like an RKG to me.

The coaching staff has told Rock that they no longer have room for him according to Rivals. Rock says that he was told that ND already has #DE verbals and cant fit anymore.

(could be a silent or the staff holding a spot but this is apparantly straight from Chris's mouth)

Springmann and Carrico and we are out of spots? Who could they be holding a spot for?

Agree, Lynch is worth the wait, I'm sure that Rock appreciates being told the straight up truth even though it hurts. Guess he lost his opportunity (Chance Carter) by waiting too long in some capacity. Never say never though, his story may come full circle yet.

The rumor is it is Lynch but his Coach says that Lynch has not committed

Without an ND offer, Rock will probably end up in Ann Arbor. UM and ND were his leaders.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind with regards to all of this Rock stuff. The info that is attributed to the ND staff is coming 3rd hand to us, from the staff, to Rock, and then to a recruiting writer. Who knows for sure how much of it is completely accurate (including how confident the ND staff is on Lynch) by the time it appears on a message board.

There is also the possibility that Kelly is taking a different tact when it comes to offers than Charlie did. For the most part Charlie would just accept a verbal from any kid with an ND offer. Kelly and Co. could be doing it differently seeing that they might have better alternatives with limited slots available. That is more of a cut-throat way of recruiting than Charlie, but recruiting is becoming more cut-throat every year so I'm not sure I could blame them if that is indeed what is happening with Rock.

The final scenario here could also be that Kelly was not the guy who originally sent an Irish offer to Rock, he was in the first batch of offers from Charlie on 9/1, and that the new ND staff, after seeing what is available at the SDE position in this recruiting class, simply believes that the guys they offered are better prospects than Rock. Now Rock was offered by Kelly while he is still at Cincy so they obviously think he is a solid prospect, but the ND world of recruiting is so much more expansive than at Cincy that a recruit who is #1 at a position on the Cincy board could be #10 on the ND board. Kelly knows more than anyone that at ND you better adapt if you want to survive.

Ok so the story goes:

Rock said that he was told ND no longer has room for him because they have verbals from Lynch, Springmann, and Carrico. The staff never said that Lynch was a verbal to any site. Rivals tried to contact Lynch and were told that he did not commit to ND. Of course people do not read or tend to take things out of context.

So to summarize ND either feels very strongly about landing a 3rd DE verbal or are holding a spot for someone and unfortunately for Rock, ND is full.

The End

Not a surprise guys. This is not sour grapes from me...it really sounds like ND ran out of room and cooled on him. You never know, he might have chosen ND had we kept recruiting him hard. And as much as we hate Michigan, if he wants he can get an excellent education there (of course, will DickRod let him?). Good luck to the kid...

Oh yea I agree NDinL.A. I think playing ND every year may have had something to do with it, and he will get a fine education. The revenge factor was what my 0o0o0o0oh was about. I never like to see kids every year who seem like they may have wanted to come to ND and just weren't afforded the opportunity. This is pure speculation on my part.

I can't wait to kick the sh!t out of Michigan this year! I've never felt more violated then after the game last year and the atrocious refereeing...
