I was waiting for this offer for a while, but for whatever reason it never came. Now that it finally came, I think it is waayyyy too late. Funny to say that, being NSD is still 10 months away, but that's the way it is nowadays. I see him as either going to Arkansas or LSU. He laready camped at LSU, and Arkansas has been there from the get-go...

Tigers Lead for Dyer

Tigers Lead for Dyer

Auburn's No. 1, and have been No. 1 in my mind for a while. It's hard to say exactly how much Auburn is ahead of the others, but they are. Auburn is just a great place, and I like everything about it. The coaches there are great and are very dedicated. I love the campus. I've played in that type of offense (offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn's system) all through high school. Everything about Auburn feels like home to me. It's just the perfect fit.

ARK, ALA, LSU and OU trail.

Dyer expects to announce before his season starts.

Irish in the mix for Under Armour RB Michael Dyer

Irish in the mix for Under Armour RB Michael Dyer

Per IrishSportsDaily.com
Michael Dyer has Auburn on top, but Notre Dame, LSU and Oklahoma are also firmly in the mix. Bama and the Razorbacks dropped out of his top group while ND was added.
I'm just looking for a good relationship with the coaches, and my feel for the atmosphere.

Decision schedule:
It will probably be during the season.

PREDICTION: If we do well this season, we get him. I still find it shocking that he is considering us.

me too, but it feels like a Jelani Jenkins situation. Yeah were in his top 4 but unless we get a visit does it really matter?

Well we are in his top 4. If he visits, we will get him I think just because I think Lattimore and Seastrunk are gonna go to Auburn.

Do we really need a RB this year? Think about it... we have 2341 RBs on the roster right now...

Just because there isn't a need to add a RB it doesn't mean they shouldn't take a RB in the class. IMO it's more of a reason to swing for the fences to land an elite RB.

Since the need isn't there I wouldn't settle on just getting a solid RB it needs to be someone special or no one at all, IMO.

If they all have they hearts set on playing on the Plains one of them needs to say so. I don't think there's enough footballs to go around.

1- 2 a year. Injuries, academics, Res Life all take their toll. All last season ESPN in their evaluations of Wood noted that he would make a better safety than a RB. Riddick was a talented CB in HS. Either could play Safety in college. Either could be a slot receiver.

Tom Carter was HS AA RB that was a star DB. Tony Driver and Vontez Duff were other noted HS RBs that converted to DB.

Golden Tate was a RB in HS, and became the greatest receiver of all time.

jeff burris was a big time RB recruite for ND in 1990.

Thank you. He was the name I couldn't think of. Parade All-American, Top 100 player, ran for 3500 yds as a Jr and Sr in HS. Can to ND and became a College All-American at Safety. 10 ints and scored 10 TDs in Holtz's Full House Backfield.

And thank you IrishinFL for the obvious Golden Tate, a RB that should make AA as a WR.

Lattimore doesn't appear to have AUB on his list according to this blurb on ESPN although FSU and SCA are "guesses."

Marcus Lattimore names three of schools in his top five
Highly-touted ESPNU 150 Watch List running back Marcus Lattimore revealed three of his top five to affiliate Web site DuckTerritory.com.

Lattimore stated that Penn State, North Carolina and Oregon were in his top five and that several other schools are vying for the other two spots. DuckTerritory adds that Florida State and South Carolina may be the two schools most likely to round out the group.

Do you think if Lattimore commits to FSU that Giovanni Bernard will consider ND a little more?

Yea, i like this guy and hes a good football player. messed up reading an article, but it looks like auburn has a solid solid lead for this guy, as it looks like seastrunk may soon commit to LSU even though it looked like auburn led for him for much of the time.

Ware commits to LSU, Seastrunk next? - ESPN

If he's still looking... then we are looking. Why would we drop this guy for no apparent reason?

Michael Dyer, the No. 1 running back prospect on the ESPNU 150, is a threat on both sides of ball - ESPN

Last weekend, Michael Dyer was spotted on the field carrying a homemade sign from Auburn fans. That fueled speculation that the Tiger were the leaders. Not so fast maintains Dyer, who is also considering Tennessee, Notre Dame, Florida and Mississippi.
Oh, don't forget Arkansas, which is squarely in the mix. If the in-state university located in the Ozarks were to get Dyer's pledge, the Hog Nation would go, well, hog wild.
The Razorbacks have made Dyer a priority. Landing him would please the locals, but more importantly, it would send a message to in-state recruits that Dyer is serious about restoring the Razorbacks to an elite program.
"I'll schedule a few visits during the season," said Dyer, who maintains a 3.4 grade-point average. "I want to see these teams play good teams. I need to get a feel of what they're doing on the field."
When supporters and alumni of schools approach Dyer, they even use gimmicks to stand out.
Recently Auburn fans flashed a creative homemade sign: "We're in 'Dyer' need of you."
"That was a good one," he chuckled. "It took a lot of guts to come up with that one."

No. 1 RB Michael Dyert o announce decision Nov. 6th

No. 1 RB Michael Dyert o announce decision Nov. 6th

Per ESPN
Under Armour All-American ball-carrier Michael Dyer (Little Rock, Ark./Christian) will make his commitment during a 9:30 AM Nov. 6th press conference, ESPN affiliate Web site AuburnUndercover.com reports.

Don't look for an ND hat on the table.

There was no room on the roster - was there? I mean a 5 star would be great - but.. some positions are just filling up quick.

It's a lot of pressure to go to ND vs. SEC - we expect graduation.
