Friday night was the best night of my life.

I'm positive I will never be able to truly love another man after meeting (and hugging) these beautiful men - inside and out. You honestly have no idea how generous and kind these men are.

*sigh*

If any of you on the west coast need something to do in a few weeks, they're going to be all over that area. You will not regret it - I promise you that!

They actually sang that and while they were singing it, two drunk girls rushed the stage and put a pair of orange frilly panties on the stage. Apparently Jemaine said later that's the first time that's ever happened to them before. Great. That's exactly how I want their Detroit shows to be remembered *rolls eyes*

The most erotic thing I've ever been a part of:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Mil18eKpgEg&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Mil18eKpgEg&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Times to watch out for:

1:21 - if you listen really close you can hear me scream 'OW OWWW!' when Jemaine sits on the edge of the stage with his legs wide open. I was 2 seats down and 1 seat back from this guy so you shouldn't have to listen too hard - but there are a lot of girls squealing at this point as well. It was a very primal instinct that took over me at this point.

1:45 - At this point in the video you can hear him whisper, "HOW DARE YOU!? HOW DARE YOU, MA'AM!" because she was reaching for his sugalumps (but as you can see he was trying to get her to do it in the first place lol)

2:22 - Jemaine puts his beautiful rump in this girl's face (she's sitting directly in front of me) and starts pointing her out to security because she's "going after" his sugalumps. He is also pointing at me because I was "going after" them as well. I can neither confirm nor deny this allegation.

2:41 - Jemaine starts pointing out all the people who have whipped out their camera phones/cameras to take pictures of this nonsense going on - at one point saying, "I see you, sir, over there, trying to reach for my sugalumps" and "Sir, I see you're recording my sugalumps"

I have tried with these guys.... and.... I don't get it... though my efforts have not gotten me anywhere close to finishing a single song... the gap is that real

what is it?? Are they supposed to be funny?? Artisitc??? Actually Talented?? Are they a younger version of Phish and once eveyones high wears off they'll go away??? I'm not making fun, I am seriously wondering what is the appeal.... again, I have not been able to sit through one song... not even close...

They're supposed to be funny. They're a musical parody duo from New Zealand. I guess if you watched the show and were more familiar with the guys themselves you'd know how...out of "character" it is for them to go about gyrating their hips in front of people. That's what's hilarious about that particular clip.

I guess it also helps if you're a girl...but I know plenty of guys who enjoy them just as much as I do (though not in all the same ways, obviously). In fact my concert date was a guy so...they do exist...must just be you ;)

At least now I know they are supposed to be funny, that explains a lot... I should have known when you said "most erotic thing you've ever been apart of" when obviously the most erotic thing you've ever been apart of has to be posting on IE with ACamp.............. right?

Yes of course that's what I meant *shifty eyes*

Muahahaha.

Yeah, it's not obviously the most erotic thing I've ever been apart of, but it was hilarious none the less to see these two quiet guys from New Zealand singing about their balls and then waving them in girls faces - pulling at their arms to get them to reach out for the "sugalumps", then smacking their arms away. Reaching out for girl's hands to get them to come on stage, then letting go of their hands and going, "WHOA WHOA LADY WHOA!"

That's hilarious crap when it's so out of character for them both!

Alright I've had some time to compose my thoughts - so here's my review:

Here we go - this is going to be a comprehensive review - pictures and text at the same time :)

BEAR IN MIND - The usher sat on the end of my aisle, so I had to be super secretive about the pictures. I had the LCD screen covered and I don't have a viewfinder on my camera, so these were taken blind basically...so...be gentle on the blurriness / heads cut off, etc.

So - the guys come out with the robot getups on. Picture of some big delicious hands here:

Another picture of the robot costumes:

During some banter here :) I believe this was when they were trying to figure out if all of Detroit was in the theater...asking about the population of Detroit...

Taken during the song "Stana"...

I'm not sure what song this is from – I apologize for the partial head cut-off :(
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/elnobody219/CIMG0168-2.jpg">

One of the best pictures I got from the show:

Okay – meet and greet time.

It was a gorgeous night out – probably mid 60's at 2 in the morning. We waited for maybe 40 minutes before Bret came out. When he got to me I asked him very sheepishly if he'd sign my poster and he was more than happy to! I allowed him to use me as his table. He asked what my name was, so I told him, then spelled it. After I finished he kept naming random letters, “T...r...u...z...f?” and I said, “Yes, exactly like that”. So he wrote something then said, “Hmm” like he was figuring out what to say, so I offered, “maybe something heartfelt...but not weird” then felt like kicking myself but then he laughed so it was alright. So he wrote away for a few minutes and then said, “There you go!” and then I asked if I could have a picture and he said, “Photo op! Sure!” and Laura took this lovely picture :)
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/elnobody219/CIMG0245-1-1.jpg">

For what it's worth, he wrote, "Oh Kelly, I miss you!" and then signed his name...that's heartfelt - but not weird. Perfect.

So Bret finishes up and goes back inside – then another 20-30 minutes and Jemaine comes out. I REALLY wanted to compliment his shoes, but when I saw him and he finally got to me, my mind literally went blank. I asked him (again, VERY sheepishly) to sign my poster, then offered my back if I needed it – he said he'd be fine. He even had his own sharpie). Then I asked if I could have a picture, he laughed a little (I assume at my shyness) and said, “Sure!” I think he either was touched by my painful shyness or he felt sorry for me, but either way he looked me straight in the eyes and said, “Would you like anything special?” and I looked down at my camera all embarrassed like, “Maybe a hug picture? If that's okay?” and he was like “Yeah okay!” So then he got in this weird...stance. Like he opened his arms way out and stuck his legs far apart. I had no idea how to hold onto that so I just put my arms around him. And where do our faces land but side by side. I felt his beard on my face – it was a little scruffily but oddly soft for a beard
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/elnobody219/CIMG0253-1.jpg">

After the picture was taken - he looked me square in the eyes and said, "Thank you for the hug". My heart then exploded into a million small fragments there on the Detroit street. What a gentleman :)

Seriously - if you're out on the west coast and have a spare night in the next few weeks- go check them out. They put on a HILARIOUS show
