Note on Irish Illustrated may say he is no longer going to visit ND. Possibly bad news.
WTF? I did NOT see him going to UCLA, for this reason (per the L.A. Times):
Defensive back Recruits
Alex Mascarenas, Mission Viejo, UCLA
Brandon Sermons, Pomona Diamond Ranch, UCLA
Stanjarivus McKay, Long Beach Poly, UCLA
Marlon Pollard, San Bernardino Cajon, UCLA
Sheldon Price, La Puente Bishop Amat, UCLA
That's 5 defensive backs, and those are the ones from the Southern CA area; I haven't even looked up if they have some from any other area like Norcal. So why would he join that defensive logjam? Obviously, they must be promising for him to be a RB (UCLA RB's were god-awful last year), unless he loves the competition. Damn, I though we had a good shot at this kid.
This is the buzz around the recruiting sites:
Moore - CU
Te'o - USC (I still don't but it, but I'm in the minority)
Starling - FL or Georgia
Thigpen - UCLA
Not the finish we're hoping for, to say the least. And the boo birds will be out in full force. But as been said already, this is one of those filler classes. Yes, we'd like to have more studs, but it's NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. We have 2 previous excellent classes and next year's class is going to be loaded and we are in good position with many recruits already, including a commit from one 5 star. I truly believe we are loading up for that class. And let's not forget the studs we have from this class, studs that we've already seem to have forgotten about because they committed so long ago. Imagine how jacked up we'd be if we were in the running for both Cierre Wood AND Shaq Evans? How about Watt AND Calabrese? Those guys' recruit pages would be 50 pages long and running. We'' be alright, and hopefully we can get ONE of these guys on Wed...
