Floyd has awesome football speed and that's all that matters because it's not a track meet and 40 times without pads and running in a straight line mean nothing.

I think quickness for a WR is more important than speed because it's about making cuts and stopping and starting back up and changing direction etc. etc.

As for Oliver he seems to have very good mix of speed and quickness and I think offense he's more of a playmaker than a definitive RB or WR, just a playmaker.

St. Peter's Prep

St. Peter's Prep

I graduated from St. Peter's in '92. One thing is for sure, St. Peter's doesn't mess around academically and they all about being a family. Many grads go back to teach. Oliver should fit in on those levels, at least. Will Hill graduated from there last year and went to Florida.

I read it over on GH, but who knows. I doubt he is going after the article with scout. This kid is a player and we need someone like him who is shifty.

He did visit Tenn... The good thing is that he did not commit to them as of yet. The longer this goes obviously the better it is for us. I have a good source on this and will keep you updated as I get info.

I wonder if some of this is because Nyshier would like to play WR and reality is that he will end up as a CB at ND. With us losing Pollard, that is even more clear. Oliver is not going to make it as a WR at ND with the depth, speed and size we have. He has a perfect CB build. Further, Scout ranks him as a DB, not as a WR. I will say that this recruiting season has been crazy with the the commit switches. It is everywhere not just us.

Hopefully UT doesn't promise WR, then move him to DB after practice starts. That happens all too often in CFB.

He has to do for what he thinks is best for his future. I truly hope that he stays Irish, but if not so be it!

Rivals doesn't have him listed as an Irish commit anymore....I guess he's gone.

The report suggests that his offer was pulled by ND.

Hey...If you're looking, we're pulling!!!

While it's true that WR is a loaded position, Nyshier's skill set (quick and shifty) are perfect for the slot, so as much as we try to diminish the impact I think losing him is going to have an impact.
