I'm not a hater, and anyone that knows me on this board knows that, but I am very realistic about things. Clausen and Notre Dame as a whole are not THIS good, you've all seen the inconsistent play all season long, Hawaii is doing their part in snapping ND's bowl losing streak, this was clearly the best match-up for the Irish in a bowl.

Look out! The Irish are rolling. I am a happy summitch right now. This is what I was expecting at least 5 times this season. This is a nice jump start for the 09 season. They look like a different team. I think Tate is going to be a real play maker for the near future. Clausen looks confident, hell the whole team looks confident and I like what I am seeing. i am also a realist but it's nice to see them play with emotion and freedom and let er rip. this is what they should do to "inferior" teams. i hope this game goes a long way to change charlie's outlook on gameplanning.

Oh, absolutely. I wasn't knocking them, they should have done well in this game, maybe not quite this well, but they're taking care of business. I just heard a number thrown out there, 8 sacks, does Notre Dame have 8 sacks in the regular season? They never seemed to get any pressure throughout the season.

And I can't wait to hear USSR, I mean, ESPN chalk this up as a really badly played game by Hawaii. Or, 'the luck of the Irish' pulled one out. Not that these kids really played hard and also came out to play.

to burst my own bubble i decided to check out hawaiis schedule this year. this is just not a good team. they beat nobody and were blown out a number of times when stepping up in competition. and a loss to utah st.

this game appears to be a bit of an abberation at this point to me, this team didnt look like a bowl worthy team and now that i look at what they have done they are not.

i am so happy to see a bowl win, but i feel as though we are winning because we have far more talent not because we have turned the corner. now i have made myself a little sad. ok no more sadness today, i will relish this victory! but we still need to FINISH

I got ya, I really am not trying to rain on the parade, quite an impressive win regardless of how bad Hawaii is. Trust me, our day (Ohio St) day is coming soon enough, I'm just hoping to catch Texas still sulking about not getting into the MNC game.

probably have right around that for the season i don't know for sure. they blitz a lot but have been a tad late all year. i wish they would "take care of biz" more often. the good teams and coaches do and i think coaching holds us back sometimes. please don't underestimate charlie's lack of presence on the sidelines. the kids are free and loose down there and it's showing on the field.
