First series for ND vs PSU

First off there has been much discussion on other boards on what to do if we win the toss. I agree with Charlie and want the ball. Hopefully, Allen gets a good return, if not a TD great field position. A good return could start putting the crowd on their heels and even get PSU off balance. If the field position is half decent (40 yard line) I think Charlie might let Jimmy throw one deep or something in the 15 - 20 yard range. PSU will probably put 8 or 9 in the box and might even call a blitz. This could loosen us up if successfully and loosen up PSU D plus again shock them a little.

I agree...nothing breaks a team down better than slowly and methodically moving the ball in your first possesion. A few slants, some quick hitches and the crowd can be quieted quite well.

I say we come out and run the Annexation of Puerto Rico from little Giants fame. Joe Pa is going to wonder where Tony Rice is and why we aren't running the triple option with the full house backfield. Paterno was reported as saying "Forward Pass? It will never catch on!" All kidding aside, Joe Pa is a legend and he has forgotten more football than most of us will ever know, but I hope we stomp them in Happey Valley.
