As usual, rest of the country thinks we will fall on our faces.

Ouch....even Indiana was lop-sided in this vote!! If you can't win your home state, something is wrong. Although I do tend to agree with what somebody said earlier in that this poll likely reflects more of a negative opinion of Weis than anything else.

Damn, we NEED this one!!

I think that poll says more about what people think of CHarlie as a coach that what they think of our players and/or program.

I think its more of a "hate" thing.... People in their right mind know that ND has so much more talent than Hawaii does.. If CW comes up with a great gameplan.. ND will be a force to be reckoned "sp" with..

i liked in the USC game when sam young was pulling and aldridge ran right in front of him. sam young basically had no chance to block anyone. it was great.

yep, i agree. the mental mistakes need to stop. mistake free football does increase the team's chance to win. and grimes is a senior too, unexcusable. he needed to be bitch slapped after that play.

I agree. But better to have them than not-right? At least you have something to work with. We've got enough recruited players to get to the championship in 2010 maybe just maybe pull of a decent bowl game next year. WE HAVE to go no less than 10-2 in 09 and win the bowl game. Weis was brought there to win-not to just have a winning season.

This game is going to be tougher than we expect. Again, no matter what our record is people love to beat us and are determined to play their best against us. They play every play like it was their last, ask the Navy and Syracuse players. We are playing them on the home field, and unlike a game on the mainland and a different date, not sure how many ND fans will be there. It comes down to execution and wanting it more. They are going to come at us with everything they got, this win makes their season. Even after their great season last year, this would add another color to the Rainbow warriors.

it's actually Weis(Catholic, non-Jewish) and walt Weiss played shortstop for the A's. i don't think he chose this game but the fact that we're actually playing in Hawaii is music to his ears. what better way to cap off the recruiting cycle in Hawaii attempting to land the #1 LB in the country.

Hawaii's offense is hot and cold. When hot they are very dangerous. QB greg alexander has a gun and Malcom Lane is a sure handed reciever.

Hawaii's weakness is thier offensive line. They cannot protect Alexander.

That's great because we usually never even sniff the QB (even when we rush 7 damn guys). That particular battle should be a battle of 'who sucks less'.
