Espn and it's over hyped 25hr of coverage sucks. Lastnight 4hr show was a picec of crap.
I hope The Dame never sell there T.V. pacakge to them. This use to be a great channel to get your sports update's from. Now it's Berman ( clown) Around the Horn ( what a waste)
and that Stump the Idiot show. What happen to that great sport channel when it debuted.

Well, we've been talking about the season for the last 8 months, so there's nothing new to say. So, they fill 25 hours of air time with nothing new. As for what happened to them, too much focus on marketing and "personalities" and not enough on journalism? Dunno.

I started despising them the year they attempted to do the Tour de France coverage (2001 I think). It blew. Plus they basically ignored Lance Armstrong when he was winning.

agreed. they are too cute with their coverage, and on top of that, I am getting fed up with ex-football player after ex-football player being brought on as an analyst. Being an analyst doesnt make you a coach, being a coach doesnt make you a player, and being a player doesnt make you an analyst.

Don't forget to add in Sean Salisbury there. His expertise of riding the bench his entire career really makes him a great canidate to tell america who has the goods to make it in the NFL.

Thank God Montana never got ropped into that whole deal, but then again, when you have a successful career and don't blow all your money on bling you get to enjoy the down time of retirement.

I agree with the concentration too much on personalities and show for ESPN. I'd also add that they care too much about ratings now more than they used to. Theyre too concerned with how many people they can get to watch a certain game instead of broadcasting truly great moments in sports. Back when the network started, they didnt care who was watching them. Heck, no one even thought 24-hrs of sports would work. But now, they seem too concerned with showing 80% northeastern sports and making all the NY fans happy.

Clearwall,

So do you think FOX Sports Network is better than the ESPN Networks?

Don't answer too fast, think about the negs and postives first...

For pro football, I like Fox just fine. I think they really spread the wealth well. For baseball, they're just as bad. But instead of Yankees-Red Sox 24/7, it's Cardinals/Mets. Tim McCarver blows and Joe Buck is a network hybrid and completely unoriginal.
