Emerald Bowl vs. BYU
and a few others, could get a bowl win, and Hawaii and San Diego are alot nicer than El Paso.

"ND is so pompous they'll reject whatever pitiful bowl actually comes calling for such a horrible team... itsn't sad how college football has changed where USC, the best team in the country, doesn't even want the Rose Bowl anymore and should be but won't be in the title game. Whereas Notre Dame is the worst team in the entire country and THEY'LL get invited to a bowl game?!?!"

I love how a mediocre Irish team that won six games somehow qualifies for that kind of verbage... what a crock of shit.

The guy is nationaly known mostly by his website but he is a SERIOUS USC homer, in fact I think he is an alum... he has a weird name or I would try to post it... I heard from a business associate today that some of the local Houston media outlets are reporting Notre Dame as a potential particpant in the Texas Bowl against Rice.

Has anyone heard anything to corroborate this?

This would be fantastic for me.

Also, does anyone know if being a season ticket holder gives you any type of rights for purchasing bowl tickets? Either way, I am there!!!

Just what we need, ND to possibly get smacked around by a Conf USA team: A QB who has accounted for 52 TD's and 2 recievers with 1200+ yards. Only good thing is Rice's D is absolutely horrendous- Bottom 100 Total D. Could be an entertaining shootout....

It took a miracle for us to beat a San Diego State team that won TWO games this year and I don't need to remind you that two weeks ago we lost to a 2-8 team at home. I don't think saying that we would smash anyone is accurate.
