I always struggle when this topic comes up because there are so many that I really love.

However, where the conversation turns to memorable quotes, one specific film always comes to my mind for the many lasting pieces of great dialogue. Such as:

"It's only a flesh wound."

"I fart in your general direction."

"What else floats?"... "Very small rocks?"

"I feel happy."

"Run away!"

I'm sure most all of you know the movie by now.
"Bring out your dead!"

"Im not dead yet. I think I'll go for a walk."

Ever see Running on Empty with River Phoenix? Great movie.

Manhunter
Rear Window
On Golden Pond
Chariots of Fire
Joaqin Phoenix - "The Village". Silly damn movie but "I love you" speech was probably the only scene I, as Bambi, ever thought was cool.

Otherwise, I like kill bill and die hard and robocop and terminator and Debbie does all of texas and...

The first time I saw Star Wars is pretty hard to beat as far as a memory goes. I was 7 years old and my Dad took me to Groman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The opening scene where the star destroyer goes overhead, my seat shook so much - it was incredible! My favorite movie moment ever!

A close second is the Phoebe Cates getting out of the pool scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High!!!

I just have to extend this subject.
The whole dialogue with the black knight is just brilliant.

Thy shall count to three and the number of the counting shall be three. Thy shall not count to two if only to proceed to three etc etc.

and of course the taunting of the french guy.

"I'll fart in your general direction"

I can just keep going on this one.

Funny btw how the floating on water thing was used again in the last house episode with hugh laurie being a brit and all.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) - Memorable quotes

And:
Sir Bedevere: What makes you think she's a witch?
Peasant 3: Well, she turned me into a newt!
Sir Bedevere: A newt?
Peasant 3: [meekly after a long pause] ... I got better.
Crowd: [shouts] Burn her anyway!

Sir Lancelot: We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.
Sir Galahad: I don't think I was.
Sir Lancelot: Yes, you were. You were in terrible peril.
Sir Galahad: Look, let me go back in there and face the peril.
Sir Lancelot: No, it's too perilous.
Sir Galahad: Look, it's my duty as a knight to sample as much peril as I can.
Sir Lancelot: No, we've got to find the Holy Grail. Come on.
Sir Galahad: Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril?
Sir Lancelot: No. It's unhealthy.
Sir Galahad: I bet you're gay.
Sir Lancelot: Am not.
