There is a rumor going around about Swarbrick meeting with Barry Alvarez. Anyone heard about this? Could just be a meeting of two ADs, but Alvarez does have ND ties.

On a side note, I have meet Barry a couple of time in Florida and dude has the biggest chest I have ever seen. Nice guy.

if this is true, which i doubt...i imagine it would be in some sort of consultant capacity.

I would welcome Barry Alvarez in as head coach. His success with Wisconsin is very well documented, and it'd be great to have a member of the Holtz coaching tree back on the sidelines. That being said, I agree, I think if it came about at all it'd be as a consultant or some type of administrative position. But, we can always hope...

He's not leaving WI. He's treated like a god up there.

However, his opinion carries a lot of weight and ND is in a tight spot about what to do with buyouts, Charlie's pride, severe lack of production, etc.

he's 61 years old. I could be wrong but I have a hard time believing he wants to get back into coaching given his current gig at UW

I'd rather see him give input on our defense instead of blitz-boy....we missed our chance at having him as head coach unfortunately.

We had a coach from the Holtz era two years ago...Rick Minter
no comparison, IMO

bring back Lou!
no thanks...his playcalling became completely predictable near the end and I think it was part of his downfall.
