I usually don't believe a word that comes out of the mouth of any college A.D. or their professional sports equivalents--G.M.'s. I do, however, believe that CW will not be fired at the conclusion of this season; I do think that his fate will be decided by the fourth game of next year. This year we all felt good about the way the season started but some of us--I'm guilty--did not examine the substance of the start but rather the results.

Now that the season has taken a turn for the worse, I've reassessed my feeling about the start of the year and seen the fallacy of my thinking. The early part of the season was filled with wins that, because they were in the wake of a 3-9 season, were very satisfying on the surface. Now that the season has worn on I've put those wins into perspective and I realize how shallow and lacking in substance they were.

I'm going to watch the rest of this game--I'm committed--but there is no way in hell I'm going to watch the USC game next week.

Solid half from Clausen. Yeah it's syracuse but its a change of pace from the past couple of games. Now he needs to keep it up.

i really think we're gonna beat their ass in the 2nd half. syracuse played better than notre dame in the 1st half and goes into the half losing. i think that's gonna hurt their psyche.

What evryone does not realize, is that Charlie has been calling a poor game on purpose. Actually, he has been doing it for the entire season, so we can shock USC with our none stop offensive attack.

we need to make them pay for penalties. i cringe when a team is 3rd and long against us. i just know they are going to complete a deep slant in right at the first down line.
