Oh dear god, well we played tough. Let's try and get a turnover or a few TFL and hope they miss the feild goal.

This was a huge step backwards, the Irish still have a long way to go.

Walker came up big in overtime... offense led by Clausen laid an egg... the QB needed to make a play..

Even though Walker didn't lose this game for the Irish, something needs to be done for this team. He has been improving, but everyone in the country should not be holding their collective breath when Walker steps onto the field.

This was a horrid loss for the Irish and just demoralizing. I hope they don't let this loss beat them next week against BC.

This one definitely isn't on Walker... When your QB misses a WIDE open receiver for the win, you can hardly expect to win the game.

This game should have never been put in Walkers hands, the play calling and lack of a killer instinct is what lost this game.

Wow just wow, this and the North Carolina game should've been won and we should be 7-1. I've come to the conclusion that Charlie just doesn't coach, it only seems like he coaches Clausen and not the rest. This is not the NFL, and Charlie as good as he is a recruiter is not a college coach. I'm shocked we lost this game, was feeling so happy after halftime and now my fucking day is ruined because of this game. The defense all the do is try to attack the quarteback, whenever they bring the receiver in closer to the line its gonna be a run and yet they're still trying to get to the quarterback instead of stopping McCoy. Moreover, Clausen was terrible in overtime and the second half, if he hits Floyd who was all open its game and we win. Anyways, our team is not football smart and thats why we lose these games.

F minus on the play calling. So much for Weis and his strategic advantage. This the reason why you need to go full throttle the whole game. Who cares about running up the score.

I think that Walker should be proud, he can hang his hat on this game because he played really well! I don't blame him for the loss. What I want to know is WHAT THE FUCK WAS WITH THE PLAY CALLING IN THE SECOND HALF AND OVERTIME(S)? I have never seen such conservative bull shit in my life. We took one lousy shot down the field and JC just put a bit too much on the ball but Floyd was wide fucking open. Baby steps for a young team but, as was the case with the NC, you hate to lose games that were yours to win.

Oh well.

I agree on Walker. You can't say enough about what a great job he did keeping us in this game!

Amen! This shit is a carry over from the Washington game. Should have won that game 50-0. So much for NASTY! For three quarters we played this game "not to lose." This was all on the coaches.

Can't blame this on walker. he played very well. The offense stalled in OT. End of story.

At least nobody is blowing us out like most of our losses in the last 6 years. We just need to know how to put the dagger in another team's chest. CW played not to lose with a PK who has been unreliable.CW didn't deserve to make it to the final OT with that Chicken shit playcalling and leaving it to his PK to keep them in the game over and over. CW didn't even make it easy on our PK. Look at how Pitt set their PK up for every kick. It was like kicking extra points. I think we have a PK for the rest of the season but it will be hard to get up after a deflating defeat. This one should fall on JC and CW bottom line,

While I like the low number of sacks given up and no interceptions the completion % of 52% stinks for a good college QB. How did we get 3 ints, more total yardage, and not win this game. IF CW wasn't such a good recrutier he migth be in trouble. He's not sure what he wants this O to do week to week.

First overtime we have 1st and ten from the ten... Allen runs for seven... 2nd and 3 for the win...
bullshit call is sweep to short side of field and we lose yardage... shocker! game should have been won in first overtime... then Clausen throws a choke ball into the stands with Floyd open... total choke job by the offense...

Bottom Line is ND fails to validate the program AGAIN...

until we win games like this, get the legit Defensive recruits and win a bowl game the pundits will be proven right time after time...

very hard loss

Harrison Smith proved today that one bone head play can give an entire game away..............

Those of you complaining about Weis' playcalling do remember that Weis is not calling plays this year, don't you? And was the play that Clausen missed a wide open Michael Floyd on a terrible play call? There is no ONE "magic bullet" that is going to turn this team around. I guess all of the improvements that we have been discussing over the last few weeks mean nothing, now that we lost a second close game? This was a killer loss, but it's not the end of the world, and the sky is NOT falling.

Weis has a hand in the plays, do not kid yourself. Regardless its all semantics. How about the coaching STAFF is repsonsible.

Just trying to figure out where we are and where we're going. Here's a depressing stat. Combined record of teams we've beaten this year:

10 wins
32 losses

Oh brother...

I agree totally except from my view the sky fell a long time ago and this was a chance to get the damn thing rebuilt...

It's been a LONG time since ND won a game that they weren't expected to. I keep hoping to see a signature win from Weis. Still waiting. Tate and Floyd are amazing, but they can't call the plays.
