what is funny is Obama himself said his fundemental belief in the whole RvW debate his that he and his 'side' if you will do NOT believe the whole idea of "moment of conception" which is the church's entire arugment against abortion when it comes down to it...

I myself remember him stating during the first debate (I believe it was anyway, COULD have been the second) that he can totally understand someone feeling abortion is murder if that person believes in moment of conception, but he simply can not see it that way... he then stated a human life is created during pregnacy, just not in the moment of conception...

now he supports late term abortion after all but saying a few months ago that was murder??

I MUST be missing something here, but then again nothing the man says adds up and it seems the majority of the country doesn't give a damn they are going to vote for him anyway... so why care about late term abortions???

Its no one's business what I do with my guns. It is my constitional right to have them. If this country elects NOBAMA then we will see what the constition looks like as well as this country. He couldn't even pass a background check for the FBI with all the radicals he has associated with, yet the US wants him as president? As far as abortion, read the bible. You can say what you want about abortion, but having partial birth abortion out to 9 mos like NOBAMA wants is not abortion, it is murder. He doesn't even mandate health care for the baby if the abortion is botched. NOBAMA is a real piece of work.

I have asked people straight up who they want for president and why, and many state that they will vote for a presi depending on his (her) stance on guns or abortion.

Checks and balances. The president is not omniscient.

I actually like both choices.

After watching the normal Republican values deteriorate into huge gov't spending and deficit, war-profiteering, and loony evolution-hating evangelicals, I am voting the lesser of two evils. 2) He lied about supporting clean coal. Biden said it wouldn't happen, then Obama let it slip out that it could happen, but it wouldn't because they'd go broke trying to. Nice
3) He lied about taxing those above 250k. It became 200k, then 150k, then now it's down to 120k or so, depending on which surrogate gets interviewed. BTW-if anyone thinks that the middle class on FC won't see some of the tax cuts go buh-bye with Pelosi/Reid/Obama......then you don't know your history.
4) Obama lied about his association w/ Ayers..."just a guy in the neighborhood" is what he said originally. Well....you wrote a blurb in his book, served on a couple of boards, and was in his house when you began your political career.

I'm not saying Obama is evil. I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good president. But what I am saying...is don't drink all the kool-aid, then wonder when everyone ain't buying what he is selling.

We need to drill, we need nukes (France and China use them, why not us?), we need clean coal, and to look for alternatives in the meanwhile....wtf is soo wrong about all the above? Hell, the dem congresspeople tried to slip in a ban of drilling during the bailout. So much for telling the American people they really are for it. Hell, the offshore drilling they propose, there wouldn't be much of it anyways.

Well, unless you make 6 figures+, taxes *should* be less under Obama. Obama has pledged $150 billion in alternate energy over 10 years. McCain's "drill baby drill", is like putting a band-aid on a bullethole. We should drill, but it is no solution. And on the economy. This quote by McCain says all I need to hear....."I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues," McCain told the paper's Steve Moore in 2005. "I still need to be educated." I have zero confidence in Palin either, she was chosen in an attempt to capture the disgruntled Hilary Clinton voters. Obama is no God, but at this point we need to get as far away from the Bush policies that hurt the economy, ruined our world reputation, padded corporate and defense pockets, and is wasting $400 million PER DAY in Iraq, while Bin Laden is forgotten (if he is alive). I have most of the same concerns as Stoney, just different expectations of who is actually going to address them.

I have decided on Obama. And I am as hardcore conservative as "they come." Don't like liars and cheaters. I think TRUST should become a factor.

Even if my trust is misplaced, I trust Obama and Biden and Mack, but Mack's (and Neocon's) choice of Palin lost my trust.

People who disagreed with or didn't care for Bush were called "unpatriotic" or terrorists, etc. Obama might be opposite end of the spectrum from Bush, I'm fine with that. You can definitely tell who listens to Rush Limbaugh from some of these posts. I wouldn't worry about the country falling apart if Obama is elected. Thanks to Bush and his policies, the demise has already started. Unless you are wealthy or very religious, the Republican party as it is now has nothing for you.
